If you fail to keep your gun sights up in CQB, it is your own fault...

No change is needed, the current small arms system is perfect.

Yea yes it could ;) AKA Thread FOB operations lol Read and find out :D ....

But i dont know if i am in Full agreement with this idea though :S ..... if anything just make un aimed shooting more accurate :S.... i dont think its worth using an extra spot for unscoped fire :S ... its unnecessary

I think you didn't get the point.
It's not about instant accurate hip shooting without aiming. It's about an alternative aiming method.
You would have to use it like the iron sight or scope. You just get your weapon up and align the barrel to you sight. It's not that accurate but good for a quick shot. At least the scoped weapons should have this option.

Didn't you recognize the link in "could"?

Tahanatos wrote:u could remove the knife and use the shovel for fighting (primary fire) and shoveling (secondary fire) this would also be more realistic
I cant think of 1 instance i would rather use my E-Tool for hand to hand rather than my Kabar....
Tahanatos wrote:Hello everyone it is suggestion time again:

In the previous version using the LMG u were able to aim down the side of the gun and i thought that was quite realistic, because IRL I dont think I would look though a Scope in CQB and I would not shoot from the hip either, but instead of adding it to all assault rifles it was removed.
IRL when your clearing close quarters we kinda mainly use spray and pray meaning shooting from the hip mostly unless you have aimpoint or EoTech

the unarmed kit idea was very interesting

I had the same idea as the OP a while ago,

unfortunately I know very very little about animations, when I applied the LMG animations to teh SA80 susat, it went a little wierdo, so instead I applied the ironsight animations, now all you gotta do is IMAGINE the weapon is offset to the right like the LMG is.

undeployed mode attempt 2 - Xfire Video

a CQB mode on most if not all scope weapons would be the way I would desire to go, however in DEVs we trust, I have faith that whatever advances the DEVs choose to persue, or status quo to maintain will be in the best interests of gameplay and the mod.

I wish the Assault Rifles would have this, like the ones that have scopes with CQB attachments (The L86 has one attached on the top of the scope, It's just a little circle but better than nothing).

And the LMG is for medium range fire support. The "Aim down the side" made it a CQB Supercannon o' doom.

I just had a genius idea :D They kind of did this in CA on the m16 ACOG. What if you click once and you get the side of the gun, then you click again and you get your sights, you would have to be able to bring up sights very quickly by pressing right click twice, but it seems like it would work pretty well. DO THIS!!!!!!! PLEASE :D

Is that possible?

I thought it was hardcoded, that's why we didn't have it!

This is a great idea!
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

^ CA didn't do that, they just had 2 levels of zoom on the scope, it was not good.
