T-Shaped Roof Static
Is it possible to make the lip around the roof of T-Shaped buildings a railing instead? The lip is just tall enough that it prevents HMG fire if you deploy one on the roof and interferes with other deployables too.

A railing also doesn't provide cover. That's the trade off. The amount of fire you take on top of the roofs right now is pretty bad. Reducing the amount of cover up there would make it very hazardous to be on the roof. But being able to deploy heavy weapons up there with a larger field of fire could mean very fortified buildings.
I like holding out in buildings. Its fun and you can kill a lot of people if your good and the enemy doesn't understand how assault the building. Maybe a mix of railing buildings and normal buildings would be nice. You could run into the problem of buildings turning into unshakable bunkers.
This is a very interesting suggestion.

It is somewhat aggravating to be unable to make use of roofs for HMGs/TOWs on some maps (Muttrah comes to mind), but I think it's pretty well balanced by the fact that infantry on the roof don't get raped. Perhaps I'm biased since I spend a lot more time walking around than sitting in an HMG position.

Well, in the way of not having cover, you could always just drop a foxhole up there.. or five.

If anything give the lip some breaks like every 10 meters or somthing like that
... then you can shoot AND you will still have cover

Re: T-Shaped Roof Static
if there was a rail instead of a wall, I'd just never go on the roof, though I prefer using the windows on the floor below to shoot out anyway (snipers, or if you are opfor...CAS is too dangerous)
Also it would take more performance to render a rail than just a block wall?
