Re: [Weapon] Pistolet Makarova [WIP]
Aw, you can do it. I taught myself through these forums and looking at tuts, and I was only about 15 years old then haha.
Things dont develop too quickly when your beginning. After applying a symmetry modifier you start to see just how far you have come. For handguns with the ejection area on the slides, just collapse the stack and start to create polygons (assuming you are using the half with the cut out for the ejection.)

Update #2
Ok, finally got aroudn to restarting this project, and after setting up my rendering settings, and talking to both rhino and ztrooper over xfire over the issues of a gf draggin attention away from computer, which isn't a bad thing I"d consider(3 months guys Haha) heres some progress, after a restart

And the wireframe

SOmeone mind telling me where to find a good clay and wireframe render?
PS I didn't do anything with smoothing groups, I just got bored for 5-10 minutes today

The most valueable tip apart from the modeling itself is drink coffee, and never give up, lol
Jokes apart, find good references, preferable blue prints, like this,

photos can help you with details but for precision work, blueprints are the best.

Looking good!
Indeed, don't give up. Modeling is a hobby that rewards persistence.
If you need any reference pics, I have a Russian Mak (exported to the US). Love it (although the ammo is getting somewhat difficult to find.)

Hey Delta -
I can't tell what 3d app you're using, but here's a box-modeling tut from a few years ago that might help.
