Which Mumble "style" do you prefer?
Simple. 1 channel system where everyone can hear each other, or the 2 channel system where you can only talk with your own team?

1 channel
Its more realistic (you have to be a bit carefull with what you say, and you can fool your enemy if you're smart) And i dont really see any reason to have separete channels as long as the SLs can talk tactics in their on private channel.

i'd go for 1. It may be problematic sometimes because of the force centering issue but its more atmospheric imo.

2 FTW
'FTW' stands for For The Win - to satisfy message length requirements
1 invites petty taunting of the other team. 2 functions like having an optional BF2 VOIP equivalent to represent silent hand signals to nearby squads and encourages teamwork.

2 is better cause if you have 1 then nobody would want to use mumble cause the enemies can hear you.

Everyone please vote! This may or may not have something to do with a new mumble community.

Two channels, without a shadow of a doubt.

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

I've never heard anyone say that... Maybe it is just the servers I frequent.octo-crab wrote:2, helps alleviate the tardish "haha I killed you, you suck" behavior.
Part of the reason I thought mumble was unique and enjoyable was the fact you CAN hear the enemies in proximity, and they can hear you, making stealth and selective silence that much more important, with a little role-play thrown in to boot, But whatever.
I voted for 1.

1 Channel is interesting because it adds a strategic element and simply put it's more fun!

Care to explain as to why? (I'm not singling you out or anything, I'd just like to see people's reasons for their choice in the voting)Jigsaw wrote:Two channels, without a shadow of a doubt.

I'm going to say 1 even though I know I'll regret it later on because of the chaos it brings with it. The major issue of having 2 channels is the wounded guy shouting: "Hey guys!!! Enemies on my body! Come shoot them!".
I'm really looking forward to see how your server is going to do. I'll help you seed whenever I can.

2 channels.
Mostly because my experience from servers with only 1 channel is that they are way more prone to be full woth attention deficit disordered people running around singing, making fart noises ect.

Two. Facilitates teamwork over 'fun' (taunting, eavesdropping, overall noobery).
