exe problems with v 9 on steam

every time ive tried to launch the latest version of pr with the steam version of BF2 its given me some exe error telling me to launch pr from the pr shortcut and even if i launch it from the pr exe directly it still gives me this error. anyone got any ideas?

Launch Steam first (and make sure steam is fully started, it can take minutes sometimes) and then launch PR from the shortcut (NOT from within steam). If you get a you must use pr.exe message, just close down PR (without closing down steam) and relaunch PR ... should work fine then.

If you try and launch PR to early it has a time out on it so you don't get locked in an endless loop. IF it cant log on through steam after a couple minutes it shuts itself down. Thats why you are experiencing what you do.

Also when you run PR through steam it will ask you to OK running it in admin mode as well.

that didnt do anything at all. the error message still persists to annoy the living hell out of me even after following what you said to the letter.

Try to launch pr.exe as administrator !
