L2 read the thread first guys. PR doesn't use BF2.exe as their shortcut, and it's clear that they can mod it to fit whatever needs xfire has.

mcluv's right. i remember this from the last time around. someone from xfire said that PR wasnt compatible with how their system reads the games, or something along those lines. no amount of voting or supporting is going to change the fact that PR anf Xfire dont mix. I had hoped the devs would set a goal of xfire support for a future releases.McLuv wrote:L2 read the thread first guys. Re: Project Reality in XFire
Why would soemthing happen to mumble? Xfire dont support 3D voice chat at all. You will only see if other people play Project Reality and how many hours instead of BF2 that pops up.
EDIT: what is different with PR now? Why can Xfire support it now and not last time?

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.
"Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without an accordion. All you do is leave behind a lot of noisy baggage."

Re: Project Reality in XFire
Let me say again, done before -> not happening. PR has had the exe for long long time and it has been asked support many times. Would be good if the xfire devs would say how to work around it with them but so far no answer. Might be cause they don't feel like working with all the bf2 mods to make them work in xfireMcLuv wrote:L2 read the thread first guys. Re: Project Reality in XFire
It was never done before, it was simply said that "PR at this time is not compatible with xfire, alert us if anything happens", though I'm paraphrasing a bit. Nothing at all to do with the friggen "hardcoded" mentality, it's just that Ancient Man's also asked that since it does use a separate .exe if there's anyway to get it to recognize PR, what it needs to change otherwise if it's not compatible, etc...Raic wrote:Let me say again, done before -> not happening. Second Suggestion <- PR had own exe since here.
Third Suggestion
Fourth Suggestion
It's been asked a lot of times, so I don't see how we are to expect anything new. Its been asked what to do to help xfire recognize PR, but as far as I see, no answer from xfire team. Done before -> not happening. Should try to figure other way to get some attention from the xfire team, direct contact or something.
