how the heck do you re-sync time on XP

Post by WeeGeez »

Hey, long time since iv'e been on ere, I've been busy. I see 0.9's been released :-P also  cuz i don't have my pc with me atm so not played it yet! :( :( but anywayz..

Tonight, went and opened msn - It fails to connect. grabbed error code (80048820). Something to do with Time being out of sync. Now, I've had/fixed this problem before, although that was a long time ago! lol and on a different Machine.

So tis something to do with time being out of sync, right. Surely going and doing the Re-sync time with Windows Time Server thingy should work right? Nope. Nada. Ziltch.

Looks like Bill-G at MicroPatter HQ won't let me re-sync my laptop to the time server. how, g4y.
Such a tedious service I don't think Iv'e ever managed to get it working first time.

So any idea's on how the heck I fix this meh-meh forsaken Time Sync problem? :-D ?

Try syncing with this instead; ch.pool.ntp.org (In the clock options thingy)

Windows own time server has always been kinda unreliable. This one calls a cluster of NTP time servers from Switzerland, which in turn is connected to a large world wide network.

If it doesn't work at first, try setting the time manually first. It can't sync online if the clock is too far off.

My Date doesn't match. It's lying. Grr..
- Note to Self, I'm a noob.

I have tried so many different servers... Is it maybe something to do with BIOS Clock? perhaps?

thanks for help btw

Wow, your time is way off.

Like I edited into my previous post, try setting the time manually first.
