[0909] Mine marker issue

I played Silent Eagle on CnC mode and wanted to make our precious FoB safe. So I took the Combat Engineer kit and started laying mines on entrances and narrow points, only to see that I couldn't even set those poor 3 markers. It were exactly two markers I could set. It had happened to me before (I think on an Ins map, don't really know any more). I don't know why one can set only three markers now, because before it worked perfectly with unlimited markers. Now it's a pain if then such a bug appears.

yep me to i pot 1 down and no 1 can c it and i got a TK on it and no 1 can c it at all

I was playing on TG and had it too, seems that the limit now is 3 markers.

it should imo be rasied to 5 markers

It sounds like he could only set 2 markers Brummy. That is not a feature. You should be able to set 3 markers in .9

Yeps, right. Same happened on Falluja, as INS sapper I could only set two mine markers!

It should keep as in 0.87 where u were able to set unlimited markes (If im not wrong), if not possible, then at least 8 markers because you can set mines, and traps, and it's not enough 3 poor markers..

The reason why unlimited markers were removed was due to the fact one person could crash a server by spamming mine markers. As to the amount that there should be, this is not the forum for it.

Shred, on Silent Eagle do you recall what faction you were? Also did you request the kit or pick it up off someone? You absolutely positive you didn't accidentally put two down in the same spot (I forgot if they replace old markers or don't let you put anymore down)? Just trying to get a bit more info.

i would like 2 have 20 mine markers- becuase you can have 20 mines before they start to dissaper =P (or i think thats how it is)- and the 3 limit is kinda annoying..

anyways, ive seen it also that sometimes you can only have 2 markers.. last time i saw it it was on karbala- dont remember the map

I was on russian side, the kit was requested from a crate at the vehicle spawn point. I absolutely did not put two markers in the same spot. I mined the entrances of the missile silo thingy in the middle, and placed a marker each. after that I wanted to mine somewhere at the railway, put a marker and this instance my squadleader asked me why the marker at the entrance had disappeared. After that I tested it, but 2 markers was maximum. If you put one marker too much, the first you've put vanishes.

The whole point of the three mine markers is to represent a minefield
Not to put the exact location of every mine on the map
