Devitation Question

Post by theiceman »

Just wondering, How much control do we have over the cone of deviation? like i know we can make it change sizes faster or slower, but what other parts of it can we change? like can we change if it closes half way fast, then the other half slowly?

As far as I know it is hardcoded so that we may not change the rate half way through ect. it must be one speed.

Sucks I know.

Deviation should be based on weapon weight. Automatic riflemen should have more deviation then they do, since they can lay down accurate automatic fire with little recoil at medium to long range. Doing that with an assault rifle is next to impossible.

So, Do it like this:

Deviation / Shot

High- Sniper Rifles, HAT (basically how it is now)

Medium-High- LAT, Auto Rifleman, Marksman (Deployed AR and Mrks. Should be used defensively, so if used properly they won't have high deviation. Movement should cause deviation to spike, like the sniper rifle does.)

Medium- Assault Rifles(G3,M16,AK)

Low-Medium- Carbines(M4,AK74u,Galil) and Sub-Machine Guns (Skorpion, MP5) (this is where AR sits now, Deployed and fully automatic)

Low-Pistols

thats a good idea!!

Yes, although it differs on certain weapons. Rifles and pistols, etc. won't be affected very much by moving the mouse around quickly, but it's noticeable on the HAT and the deployed MG.
