I have been enjoying the new co-op mode but, in the midst of bombing with the bf2 a10 and frogfoot, I realized that these planes are not in deployment. I know that these planes are there for bots to enjoy but this distracts players from the planes they should really practice with. The PR planes (slower, w/ laser guided missles and AA missles)
I want to say that those planes should be removed from co-op, but I am not sure how the AI wold handle them. Would bots just leave the planes for the players (best solution) or is it even possible?
I'm all for bots but having these extra planes distracts players from the real deal.
(I searched the forum and couldn't find a thread discussion on this topic, so if its a resuggestion, lets discuss possiblities anyways)

I say yes. Co-op planes are totally retarded. I think the helis were changed as well.

Coop isn't training mode. It's coop.
You're not really meant to train with any of the assets I don't think. All the air vehicles handle tremendously differently in Coop from actual gameplay, and many of the ground vehicles handle a little...off...when compared to the actual ones.
This doesn't even begin to touch on the fact that coop teaches tactics that are unacceptably stupid for actual games.

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

We did have this in 0.87, but that isn't possible anymore as SP/COOP must use the MP staticobjects.con file because of integration.Kill001 wrote: have a separate runway for the bots which I think is the best solution
True, to an extent.mat552 wrote:Coop isn't training mode. It's coop.
Not true, unless you count the vehicles where Driver and Gunner have been combined into 1 PCO and that has nothing to do with handling.and many of the ground vehicles handle a little...off...when compared to the actual ones.
Beyond that there is no difference as the same vehicles that are used in MP are used in SP/COOP.
Same files = same vehicles.

True, I would even go as far as remove all jets from PRSP because if it's not for training then it's for fun, and my idea of fun isn't getting blown up every 5min whenever the servers i play on are full.
edit: @ballard 44, Does that mean the attack heli is the same as multiplayer one?

Both planes exist.. I don't see the real problem here.
(Although I do wish the vBF2 A10 would not spawn on the end of the runway.. makes it hard to practice landing..)
