the length is ok but sometime especially with a nonexperienced squad or team rounds become boring

Long rounds were great the first week for me, so i voted that.
What i feel, even though it's not so, is that rounds are getting longer.
In other versions i've voted etc. 1.5-2 hours, 2-3+ like pointed out are normal now.
Yes i think rounds are too long, i often don't even have enough free time to finish a single map in a sitting/evening.

I said too long as due to RL I have only about 2/3 hours max at one sitting, I am virtually always SL and I can't bring myself to abandon my squad before a round ends ... so I don't play as much.

I am talking uniquely for myself, if I had more time I would be delighted to have good three hour rounds.

My feeling so far playing the new version is that the rounds seem to be long, but in a good way. The fact is battles don't just happen just like that. Shootouts can last hours, days, etc., and I personally like the way that PR delivers a more in depth battle experience. Once that allows enough time to go buy that actions and strategy truly matter. No I don't want to be trapped on one round for days, not what I'm saying at all. But I think the scale is good. And besides, if you ever hate a round you can always disconnect. ;)

Partly, I only play PR because of these long, yet intense rounds.
Keep it this way. Do it.

As numerous people stated, long rounds ARE fun... But it's just not that fun to only play the beginning/middle or end of the round (I don't have time, normally, for a 3 hour round... I was playing Silent Eagle once (best round I've had in .9) and I had to skip gym XD
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

Yeah that's a good point. Long rounds are fun when you can play the whole thing because you get a really immersive game. But most people can't play 3 hour sessions that regularly, and if you want to get a whole round finished you might have to be on even longer. That's where the problem is.

long rounds are great when the map is good , squads are good .. etc in fact they seem to end up feeling like shorter rounds..... though at other times one map can like feel like 3 hours or something ;)

A while ago I was in a round in Kashan, where at one point I had the time to get out my laptop and surf the web a little, the long rounds are good, but It is hard to find a good squad sometimes. And without some buddies to pass the time, the rounds can get boring. Fast. So in the tradition of contradicting myself, I like the long rounds. Keep em'.

I enjoy the long rounds. Play skirmish if you want a short round. Also, If you think Its hard to find a good squad or whatever, join a well populated clan that's at your skill/seriousness level. OD-S is a good one =)

far to long, especially when 90% of the time is spent doing other activities then tangling with the bad guys. i seem to do more and more running and digging and getting driven around then ever and less and less pleasing fights

For many people, me included, this is often great - last night on RT there was a 3 hour Qwai round where the Chinese won by 3 tickets! But for other people, they may only have an hour or two to play every night, and may not want to spend it only playing one map. What do you guys think? Should the tickets be reduced slightly?
Good point, I'll have to think about that.

The maps are a tad too long at the moment. Some rounds of Kashan last for almost 3 hours, it gets to the point where I am physically exhausted at the end of a map.
It's a bit too much, honestly.

I dont think that rounds are too long, they are just fine. The only time maps can last too long is when you are on a 4x4km map with only 30 ppl. But sometimes it takes me about 20 minutes to actually play, and by the time I get to it, I just quit. This of course is not the game's "fault", im just picky about maps and sometimes it takes a looong time to connect to one I like.

Every time when match takes longer than ~3 hours I start to loose interest. I have to take my words back now, cos I was supporting longer rounds earlier. Problem is half empty servers where rounds might last full 4h. When playing at full server there is no issue about round time. Why? cos player count basicly indicates how long round will take. 3 hours is enough long time that we could see final scoreboard and move on to the next map. Also size does matter in this case. 4km*4km maps suit 4h lasting rounds, but 2km*2km and smaller definitely not IMO.

Long rounds with a great squad and coordination can be a blast. Otherwise, it seems to drag on.

Neither yes, nor no.

Rounds are too long with mismatched teams. There basically isn't a reliable way to inflict a decisive defeat at the moment. The AAS system just doesn't support it because they Devs want their "Epic Battles" with "Cinematic Firefights" and all that other bullshit I can't stand.

But the rounds are a very good length against teams of similar or identical skill.
