4 Crash to desktops today

all the sudden today I'm crashign to desktop. The entire game just shuts down. Anyone else having this problem?

and i think whoever is in my squad when it happens crashes as well.

I remember certain server crashes causing multiple players at once to CTD but I havent seen that for a while.
I assume the error is on your end. Try with clearing the BF2 cache (delete the contents of "My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache").
If it keeps CTDing you should run the game in windowed mode (append "+fullscreen 0" to your shortcut's target line) to get an error message.

Manually updating Punkbuster is also known to fix random CTDs.
