Hi, These are my specs:
EVGA Geforce 8400GS 512MB DDR2
2GB RAM
Intel Pentium 4 Processor 3.3 GHz
460W PSU
Win XP Pro 32-bit
(the best internet connection in Canada)
How come when I play single player PR, it can run no problem on the highest settings, but when I play online it laggs like crazy on the LOWEST settings? I can't even play for a couple of minutes, until it lags completely and PB kicks me for a high ping.. This problem also occurs in BF2. Does anyone know what this could be? My system requirements are better then needed to run it.. I can run the singleplayer of each game on highest settings, and evey 8XAA.. but online I can't even run on the lowest, with most extra features turned off.. Whats wrong? And what can I do to help/fix the problem?
The weird part is my laptop can run it on medium, and its specs are:
ATI Raedon x1300 integrated 126MB
4GB RAM
Intel Core Duo 1.8GHz
90W PSU
Win Vista Home Premium 32-bit
I seriously don't understand this.. My other computer can run Bioshock on all high settings, and Bioshock 2 on mostly high settings..
Help please??

Re: Help with running PR??
Your desktop computer is a bit low on the memory side. Try to increase your paging file size to aroung 4000 MB and see if it helps.
Another bottleneck might be processor power when punkbuster is enabled. Open the file "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\PunkBuster\BF2\pb\pbcl.cfg" with notepad and make sure there is one line that says:
pb_Sleep 500

My computer is fine on the memory side.. I fixed the problem, the screen i am currently using can't handle my graphics cards total power, (its a 17" Dell plug andPlay LCD from 2005), which is rather strong despite its model.. Anyways, I swapped it out with my other screen, my HP 22" HD 2009m, and it ran online BF2 on all High settings, and 8XAA with like 0 lagg, and PR ran with settings mostly on high, and some on medium and 6XAA, ran amazingly.. Thanks anywaysclueless_noob wrote:Your desktop computer is a bit low on the memory side. Try to increase your paging file size to aroung 4000 MB and see if it helps.

I fixed the graphics problem, but PnkBSter.exe heartbeats connection thing keeps kicking me.. No more lag though, but the problem is only for BF2 mostly.. only got it a couple of times in PR.. any idea what it could be?
I cant play online at all.. it just kicks me..
