Can't Connect to server

ok.... I have Window 7 Ultimate 64-bit with 4 GB RAM, Dual 2.8GHz, GeForece GTS 250

with NVIDA (up to date) I KNOW THIS GAME WORKS!!!! so don't go on bout that, i know that i

can play on "default user" (or something like that.), and i had no problems before i updated

my game.... BF2->v1.41->v1.5->PR... i DIDN'T try testing it from BF2 v1-PR i just did it all in 1

day... (yesterday) ok..... now to my PROBLEM...

Well.... I tried to open the game and everything went smooth until i tried to log in to my account, when i tried to log in it says "connecting to server" then i just blacks out. ... i haven't had ANY problems till TODAY... also it doesn't work on just BF2 v1.5 online. so the only problem i have is that I can't connect

Try (backing up) and then deleting your 0000x Battlefield 2 Profile.

also: make sure you are actually talking about 1.41 and not 1.4 BF2 patch (the one before 1.5 patch)

i checked "C rogram Files (x86)/EA games/Battlefield 2/ Profiles/Local" and all it had was "default" can you clarify where the x0000 Battlefield profile IS??? : : thx

He was refering to a folder named like this: "My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001" which is a profile folder for a custom profile. BF2 creates such a folder when you register or retrieve an online account. This folder will contain all setting files. Sometimes those get corrupted thats why reretrieving the account and thus reinitializing the profile with default values sometimes fixes problems like yours.

The absense of that folder suggest that something did not go right at your profile creation.

You should retry to create/retrieve an account and see if it works.

ok.. well since now i can't connect to the server without the game crashing i can't even retrieve my profile at all, so that is why i couldn't find it... it hasn't been created yet...

Sounds like a reinstall would be in order.
