I briefly mentioned this weapons system in the suggestion thread about M2 optics.
Suggestion: Begin replacing select M2HB w/ the XM806. I'm thinking, start w/ the firebase deployed HMG nests, and a CROWS HMMWV w/ XM806, Stryker w/ XM806
Army plans to begin replacement/supplementing of M2 w/ LW50MG as early as 2011.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
