virgin = Virginia PR servers.

H = ]H[ servers.

360 degrees = A squad member each covering an arc, like the numbers on a clock so every direction is covered.

medic security = One player from the squad 'provide security' for the medic and his patient while they do their thing (I tend to use this alot)

engine silence (usually VH maps) = Each driver of the tank in a squad switches seats to turn off the engine, VOIP chat is also halted for 10 or so seconds as to hear enemy vehicle movement.

VH = vehicle warfare.
I would think it'd be VW?

I tend to find that VH is more popular for some reason, but most people get the jist of it.

I use the NATO reporting names for AAVs personally, but each to their own.

Handheld should really be called MANPAD though imo.

speedhound1-WYD- wrote:APDSFS, amour piercing discarding sabot fin stabilized
It's actually Armor Piercing Fin Stabilised Discarding Sabot
The best way to remember it is that it describes the round in reverse.

4. It pierces the armor
3. Its flight is Fin stabilised
2. The Sabot is discarded
1. It's fired

If there's a T after, it would mean it's a tracer round
i.e APFSDS-T
or HEI-T (High Explosive Incendiary - Tracer);

Not to be confused with HEAT - High Explosive Anti Tank

This is a term I use the most, but i'm not 100% sure i use it correctly, so please corect me.

When I move with my squad, and see an enemy in the distance, I yell "contact!" (Contact north if he's to the north etc)

But is this when you are taking fire from an enemy, or just spotting him?

Contact varies between countries alot. Here we use it when there is actual visual contact between both parties and hostile shots are to ensue.

I say contact whenever we see an enemy really. Or simply 'enemy, get down'.
