Hideouts and FoBs can get glitched into walls by trying to make them fit into a place that is too small for their base, which is bigger than the actual structure. If the FoB or Hideout is in the wall the spawners can spawn inside the wall too. Heck, you used to be able to glitch rallies into walls back when they spawned in front of you instead of at your feet.

If you come across this in a game I would suggest bringing it to the attention of the admins of the server to take care of as even if the Devs get a fix going there will be some way to glitch a buildable structure.

As a side note, I've had the Hideout spawn behind me when I was placing it due to the space not being large enough where I wanted to put it.

I see this happening a lot on our server. I usually destroy the offending spawn point when this is brought to my attention. I dont really bother trying to find who placed it as it usually happens by accident however anyone who spawns on it and is found to be firing at the enemy from within a glitched building is banned.

I've had this happen to me, specifically with hideouts, while standing a good 20 meters away from any building, in the open (may have been because of nearby railing). The HO spawns in the buildings, and you can't get at it to destroy it or anything, so you either have to get a CO to remove it or wait for it to disappear before placing another one. This doesn't seem to happen with normal full-sized FOs very often unless you're standing right up against a wall. (but usually it can be incindiary'd to solve the problem in this case since the base static is so large. Not so with a hideout.)

We have had this happen many times on VIRGINIA USA .9 MIXED.

I caught a guy doing it intentionally when I killed him, a few sec later he spawned right back in front of me. I turned my sound up and the FOB was in the wall next to me. A small part of the base was sticking out so I blew it.

I left the crates and waited across the road watching and sure enough, he came back and put it in the building across the alley, this time the base was hidden. So I banned him and joined the MEC team, spawned there inside the wall and blew it.

I really don't see a feasible way to stop the glitching. It happens in every game, so I just Warn the 1st time and ban the 2nd... when I catch them.

Theoretically you can do this to any static. Unless you put in inside faces or invisible walls (Karkand Hotel) there is not a lot you can do.

A commander can delete it to, if you have on on that team.
