Do you need Special Forces to run PR version 0.9? Because i only have the BF2 patch 1.5, no SF

BF2:SF is not required for PR.

itll be set up already once you install. there are however, things you can do to tweak it on your own, but just start your own coop level and have fun

Not all maps have coop/sp support yet though, but they are working on it

I believe there are also some online coop servers running too if you want that
