New HDD not being read by BIOS
Ok so a few days back my laptops (HP Pavilion dv6000) Harddrive died, so I got a new one and installed it, the problem is that its not being read, I go into BIOS and it says thiers no harddrive, any ideas?

Look for any harddrive related options in the BIOS (LBA,LARGE,etc) and see if you can change anything.It (the drive) might also need a low-level format before it is recognized
(by the laptop).You can use an USB adapter to do that (on a different PC).
Verify that it's connected preperly and check for any jumpers on the drive,sometimes
it needs one (jumper/dipstick) to limit the SATA2 to SATA speeds (supported by the laptop)
