Ive seen it hapen way too many times....people walking into MARKED friendly grenade traps, then the person who layed the trap is punished, i myself have had someone walk on my MARKED trap then when i try to pick up another kit i get and recieve death punishment
1. either remove punish people wo have thier MARKED grenade trap set of by friendly
2. bring back marked grenade traps in view as i'm sure the insurgents/taliban and malitia would know where thier traps are layed in real life? although i hope not
Well TBH i like thw current system for the "trip-nades". But if possible some small alterations would be nice.
Maybe make it so you can't punish if the trap is marked (like you suggested) but in addition make the respawn timer short for the one whom triggered the trap.
The fact that you died and must run back to that postion and possibly lost you limited kit is punishment enough for stupidity/lack of awareness. But on those occasions a short respawn (maybe 10 seconds) would be reasonable...unless such as system is hardcoded.

Well I am. Hand grenades have a delay. Otherwise it would be impossible to throw them and survive as nade would go off instantly.
Even DEVs admit that nade trap should have a delay, but they could not implement it. And because delay cannot be implemented, nade traps should be removed altogether.
It happens that you run over a trap, even a clearly marked one, but getting punished for it is just a bad habbit from BF2. (I do not do it myself) but alot of people just press the page down a 100 times, they just can't help it. Sometimes though you shouldn't place any traps where you know friendlies will pass. And always accompany your mines with wires so people will see it.

What about marked traps around a cache or spawn point that are intentionally (or stupidly) placed to kill spawning insurgents who shouldn't have to look at their map to move 5 feet from their spawn location?
The granade trap is an incredibly stupid noob weapon, especially when they're placed near the cache. The nade traps probably kill more friendlies than enemies.
So, here's the deal: NEVER put any granade traps close to the cache, ever. I will always punish any one who does and kills me as a result.

QFE, Mines and grenade traps on insurgency WILL ALWAYS KILL MORE FRIENDLIES THEN ENEMIES! It is that simple, just look at any round of insurgency when idiots spam the roads with AT mines.
Grenade traps cannot have a timed fuse on them as well as the wire trigger, it is unfortunately hardcoded.
