also i dont see how phone companies could object to you using one of their phone models in your mod outlawz? they should be paying for it to be advertised ffs.

i hope in the future the PR team welcomes the new players a bit more freely, otherwise this is a sad day for PR and the future of its development

Gazz you are a more experienced member in this community, and have most probably been apart of it longer than Jan 2007 such as me. July 2009 is not novice but it is still fairly new.

mobile phones maybe not the most important thing to you, but in every business you have someone who nitpicks and keeps it in line and in this case those are the new players who are new and enthusiastic, and want to find new ideas for the mod, or update the old ones.

its not so much that replacing the mobile phone is low priority , which it is, but the basis of the suggestion is poor. A single clip in which one guy uses a particular phone is not the basis for a suggestion.

think of it this way, all the DEVs etc aren't paid, so they are using their free time, they want their free time to be meaninful in terms of the progress of the mod, so is replacing a perfectly good generic phone model with another more specific phone model really the best use of that time?

thats why we're making light of this suggestion, and I'm sure patrick hasn't taken offence

Thanks for supporting gazzthompson, and about the suggestion which isnt a suggestion, i wanted to make it look a bit funny not to start making new phones, maybe you can make new mod only for cellphones and then we can sell them for 1 gun or something

When I play insurgent, my phone doesn't even have
A. Push to Talk
B. Texting
C. A calculator, for when my Squad Members ask me how many rockets they have in their RPG right now.
D. Mobile web
E. A clock, so I know when praying time is.
F. A calendar, so I know when to start Ramadan...
G. Family plan, so when my kids want a phone I don't have to pay out the bum to put them on my plan.
8. International calling, so I can set off IEDs from my cave in a distant country
I. Music player - integrated so I can listen to some Jihad music
J. Bluetooth, so I have both hands free to fire my lasers.

reload and draw animations should be pretty much standard and should have a nice quality and realism to them, there are most likely no two ways to do it. cell phones on the other hand are very different due to the marked being flooded with them. also the cell phones used for the bombs are most likely not going to be right off the line, but might be old. just because you saw one guy with a new cell phones does not mean that it is the standard.

Why did you guys base the talibans' cellphone on a NEXTEL?
