[Windows] Vista x64 SP2 Alt Tab

Post by Jigsaw »

I recently installed service pack 2 for Windows x64 bit and ever since it has been giving me this issue.

Basically what happens is, I load up PR. I then alt-tab to do whatever and when I try to go back in it won't come up. It sort of flashes like its gonna come back and then minimizes again. Eventually after clicking on it a bunch of times it sticks, but then repeats if I alt-tab again. When I actually get in-game (as in server loaded, running around in the field) it does not happen.

I've had the same issue on other games (MW2, GTA4 etc).

Any ideas?

I have not experienced your particular problem myself.
But I suspect that background task or process keeps catching the focus.

Try with terminating unneeded processes.

Also it is possible that you should wait a bit longer after the first click to have the game fully (re)load/initialize.

Nah its not that, tried leaving it for 5 minutes and nothing happens (although BF2 has always just come straight up anyway).

Will try getting rid of background tasks though, cheers.
