Thanks to Amok@ndy, we have few maps templates, which can be used for quick start mapping (for people who has troubles with bf-editor).
2km map:

4km map:

Some useful tools which also helps to rename these map-templates to suitable name:

Re: Maps templates
Thanks for advice, but for me it crashes anyway[R-DEV]J.F.Leusch69 wrote:just create them in bf2, not PR
And why do i need map for BF if i want map for PR ? Can i use it "as is" in PR? Or i need to add some things manually, so it fits PR? I think experienced mappers has some templates for their maps (like, by example, experienced programmers has some pieces of reusable code), so why can't they share them.

Re: Maps templates
the problem kumade is that if we did that, you'd have to rename all the map files to the map name you chose anyway
create ur map in bf2, then copy and paste it to PR, then you can load it and use PR statics etc on it.

I CANT. Every time i press "Ok" in map creation dialog, it crashes after few seconds. No matter which mod i choose, bf2_edit, or pr_edit.[R-CON]Rudd wrote:create ur map in bf2, then copy and paste it to PR, then you can load it and use PR statics etc on it.

And people says that such maps can be corrupted by creation. So i decided to ask for templates.

Hi, Moderators. I have updated first post, so, maybe, this thread can be moved to tutorial section, or You can add links to map templates to some mapping tutorial thread.

Re: [?] Maps templates?
I just wanted to say that I had problems with creating new maps in the BF2 editor as well. It's true that you can load the map again after the Editor crashes but it's also true that those maps will be corrupt and will be lacking lightmap files, .desc files ect. ect.
A REALLY quick way to fix this (at least for me) is to load a map first in the Editor(you can load one of the maps that crashed when you tried to create it). When you have loaded the map simply create a new one from there. I don't know why but when you do this it will not crash when you create a new terrain. AND the map will have all the files that it needs so you can play it in game.

Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading
