Hello there PR Community.
My clan has a Sunday PR event so i bought Bf2 over Steam
and tried to install PR v9.0
So at the first part comes an Error saying Couldn't install staticobject_client
and
at the second part comes an Error saying Couldn't install levels\Jabal
So I got the staticobject_client from my bf2 folder and made a zip folder called staticobject_client.zip in the folder objects where the zip folder staticobject_server.zip is located so it tought it would be right.
So now i got the problem i dont have the map Jabal so I tought to just evade playing on this map.
But when I join a server it loads up to 7% and directly crashes and sends me back to Desktop without an Error message.
Iam using Battlefield 2 v1.5 Steam version

Re: Problems with PR installer and joining a Game
I have no experience with Steam and PR. Therefore this will be just guessing:
Maybe your BF2 download on steam hasn't fully finished yet, when you tried to install PR.
I do not know if Steam offers the fully updated BF2 v1.5 but it is required by PR. Make sure its updated.
Installers should be run as admin.
Installers might be broken...
Verify that your files are not corrupted:

I suggest you use a download manager like FDM, GetRight or FlashGet or a BitTorrent client like µTorrent or Azureus. Those programs are generally able to resume interrupted downloads and this way prevent data corruption. I believe they are essential for large downloads like the pr installers. Also you can use them to "resume" the corrupted download - this might have them redownlaod only the broken bits instead of the whole thing again.
