Help with eMac

Post by Pantera »

Hey,

For ages now i have had to use a eMac since my Sony Vaio PC suspiciously got the blue screen and never turned on again.

I just....just now...saw that it only has 256mb of Ram....yes 256mb :( which explains why it runs so slowly, its really painful, i cant watch videos on youtube, i cant run MS Word, i can barely run Firefox and Flash websites takes forever to respond.

This here is my machine ;

Are there any way i can buy ram and upgrade it? what kind of ram does it need ? (since im guessing it would be different from PCs)

Help is very much appreciated

Apple - Support - Discussions - Possible Memory Upgrade for eMac ...
Check that, if your lucky you might be able to, Apple is quite known for selling simple stuff with huge cost.
Apple - Support - eMac

EDIT: Macs hardware isn't that much different from PCs, its just that apple makes some changes to it so you can't fit normal hardware parts and HAVE to buy from their overpriced stores.
