I think Mosquill should either be an R-CON or R-DEV.

1) He should be forcefully renamed "IAmAwesome".

2) He said this regarding the commo rose use in the "Functional GL Sights" thread:
'[R-DEV wrote:Mosquill;1283332'][It's shown using t]he Q commo rose. It appears only when you're using the GL sights. Though it's possible to do this without using a commo rose at all.
3) Backup sights are great. They're just like they should be: Only useful in emergencies.

4) I'm "meh" about the deviation indicator, because I have some sort of symbiotic relationship to the deviation system or something, so I usually know roughly how steady I am. But I guess it'll be nice at times.

5) Multiple deploy animations make me happy! How great it will be to actually have proper changing between weapons... Can anyone say "single check on ARs"? I might actually use the AR a little more with this and the backup-sight changes (No more minute long "undeploy" animation, choose between undeployed scope and undeployed 'over the sight'... oh joy!)

Although this is absolutely fantastic work, what will happen to the current riflemen irons if its now sort of obsolete?

Will bring a whole new meaning to fighting in CQC, good stuff.

Maybe current ironsights could have a small zoom, eye put closer to the sigh etc. Make them worth choosing.

The thing is that iron sights really aren't worth choosing when you can use a red dot or combat optic, although in US military training they still emphasize proficiency in irons, because they are pretty much an unbreakable system, but the ACOG is also durable enough to survive IED explosions...

The ACOG TA31RCO-M4CP or A4 don't have backup irons. However, the TA31ECOS has backup iron sights AND a red dot sight on top of the fiber optic/tritium illuminated combat optic though. However, Trijicon makes red dot sights with mounts that can fit onto any of their ACOG models, 1.5x-6x, so any ACOG can have a red dot.

They will probably still be in use. They aren't obsolete, because not all optics have back-up sights on them. They are for emergencies only, and the full sights are still going to be useful.

Multiple undeploy animations! Hell yes! I am always picky about animations and when I see the rough transition that they are now, I cringe. Now I will have what I want!

The UGL sights are a great addition as well, but will it work for other sights like the GP-25 launcher?

The deviation indicator is realistic because in real life you have a sense of how well you're handling your rifle and in-game you can't feel that. This will help immensely.

Jaws have been dropped.

This is awesome. Pure awesome, and I can't wait for it to find it's way into a PR release.

How will this work with Chuc's 3D scopes?

When is there going to be an 'Emergency' in PR? In the event that there is an insurgent around the corner and a scope is impractical you aren't going to take the time to switch to the ironsights, and I'm sure its hardcoded to have the SUSAT or ACOG or whatever break when you're hit by an IED.

gotta say that i absolutely love what mosquil have done here. makes the game feel a lot smoother to look at really although it might take some time for players to learn to use it fully.
hopefully we can get this implemented in cooperation with mosquil.

Very nicely done ! The backup iron sight, the blink before zooming in, the animations!! , HUGE updates. (thought I'm not a big fan of deviation indicator). But, since there are ALOT! of weapons in PR, it's gonna be a long time before we see it in-game. :? ??:
We should make a thread on how awesome Mosquill is, withouth excluding the other Devs and Cons. ;-) .

they still be useful because youll have a better field of view, those irons on the scopes take like the bottom half of your screen away

Little things like this draw out my attention and I lose my situation awareness. . I prefer knowing the weapons deviation through experience. But, if the community wants it, the community can "has" it :-) .
