same here. Its only on the 0.917 patch that this happens. im also getting an Md5 Mismatch, not on a specific file, its just a different file every time.

Are you joining a game or loading a local map?
Have you tried setting geometry and textures to medium if they are set to high?
Have you tried running it in windowed mode to generate an error on crash?
If you used the patch you could also try downloading the full installation, removing PR and reinstalling completely.

Re: CTD on loading screen after update
I have the same but mine crashes at different points, did not do it with textures set to medium (i have similar specs to original poster), Fix to this is to not be ambitious with your settings
but yeah it is a problem
It's been a while, old friends

Re: CTD on loading screen after update
In your shortcut, where it ends in \pr\pr.exe" you should still be able to add the following bold text where the szx and szy numbers are proportionally smaller than your normal screen size. For example, if you are running 1024x768 you should use something like 800x600 so it all fits on your screen in the window.ankyle62 wrote:just opening a normal server game.

\pr\pr.exe" +fullscreen 0 +szx 800 +szy 600
Spaces per the example are important including before the +fullscreen as well as the capitalization (+Fullscreen does nothing).
If W7 doesn't allow you to do this I think you can change your settings in the PR options for video, but I'm not positive.
