[0917] Scoping in = 5000ms ping

Post by Viper[ESF] »

Hey guys,

Since I patched to 0.917 I got this problem. Whenever I hit my right mouse button in PR (scope in), my ping raises to ~5000ms (according to Ventrilo).

I played immidiatly before the patch got released and there everything worked fine... 10 minutes later, after patching, the problem occured and is still there. This makes my game unplayable, as I cant aim at anyone...

It also must have to do with the patch, because a few minutes before patching everything worked fine.

What I have done till now:

- Reinstalled BF2 and PR
- Reinstalled PB
- Updated all possible drivers
- Restarted modem and router
- Tested other online games (all work fine... Ping of 60. PR also has 60 ping as long as I am not scoped in)

Hmm, haven't seen or heard of this. Does it do the same in vBF2?

Could you run PR without Ventrilo, xFire, Fraps, etc. to see if the same occurs?

Why according to ventrilo?

What does your ping register as in-game and have you tried playing without vent/xfire/fraps/whatever?

Also is it on scoped/unscoped/all weapons?

Ingame only goes to a ping of 1000... It doesnt show after that :P It just has a permanent "There is a problem with your connection" then.

Problem doesnt occur in vBF2 or any other games. Its is only when I scope in with the weapon. It happens on all weapons. Unscoped is fine and I got a normal ping of 60 and no lags.

edit: tried running without any other background programs. no change

edit2: What I forgot to say, when I scope out the ping immediatly goes back to 60 again.
