game freezes

Been having this since 0909 and still in the new release. 20 minutes or so into every map it starts freezing for seconds at a time and recurring regularly. Then it stops for 20 minutes or sometimes an hour and then it lags again. Doesn't matter which server it's on or how much ping. Anybody having this issue? Never had this kind of trouble with PR, so it's not my machine or connection. I'm not expecting any help but please post if you're having these issues. Thanks.

Check your ram usage. I had an issue with xfire growing to an unreasonable level at one point (2GB RAM usage and a 6GB page file!). Sounds like you may have similar symptoms.

How much RAM do you have and how big is your page file?

I have 4 gigs. The page file says 2046-4092. Should I adjust it to something else? It's really destroying my gaming, as I can't fly transport choppers, jets, i fall off cliffs etc.

Lower your textures, shadow and lightning to medium, fixed all my ctds and most lag.

And yes, my pc can easily handle BF2.

Check your CPU and GFX temperatures.

They're cool. As I said, it happens randomly, sometimes 30 minutes into a game, sometimes at the start, and only since 0.9.
