Re: the M79 whit flare`s ?
Would sure be awesome to have flares in some night maps, though i dunno what that would do to them shaders.

shouldn't be a problem to use dynamic lights as far as i remember, as long as we don't use the nightvision shader.

A night map would be epic for this mod. I can see myself SLing, then getting shot at yelling "SHOOT AT THE TRACERS! SHOOT AT THE DAMN TRACERS!". This would be a great asset, as long as you shoot the flare in the right direction (behind them, so that it highlights them. I could see serious consequences for shooting it behind you and highlighting yourself)

The only thing I wish about the m79 is that it comes with a nice array of smoke bombs, flares, HE and CS
Perhaps also a neat little grapple shot.

Re: The M79 with flares ?
Not grapple as in grapple hook, but as in grapple shot from the 18th century canons. Or was it Grape shot? lol Sorry if I'm wrong. My first language isn't English.ma21212 wrote:grapple shot ? err.. i just want my buchshot and HE and ill be a happy little VC trying to steal one.
It's kinda like a buckshot but since its more a small canon then a big shotgun... I'd say its a grape shot. I think they had it in EOD2.

Re: The M79 with flares ?
Well I'm sure they did some research before including it in EOD2. There was a m79 with only grape shot and like 2 HE if I remember correctly.Beckham wrote:Err...do you have evidence that they even used grape shot?
I honestly don't know but you'll need a source if they're ever going to think about including it.
Honestly I don't really care about the grape shot, I was just talking about having a nice array of 40mm shells for the m79 has it was very used in Vietnam. Smoke grenades, Flares, HE, tear gas. You name it, they had a nice variety of stuff for the m79.
EDIT
Heres a wiki:
Close range
For close range fighting two styles of M79 rounds were developed. The first was a flechette or Bee Hive round which fired 45 10-grain steel flechettes. Flechettes proved to be ineffective because they would often not hit point-first and penetrate. Instead they would hit sideways and bounce off. About 1966, this was replaced by the M576 buckshot round. Containing twenty pellets of #4 buckshot (M576E1) or twenty-seven pellets of #4 buckshot (M576E2), this round could be devastating at close ranges.
So indeed they called it buckshot.
P.s: I love the skeptics on this forums, Because they never heard of it you have to find "evidence" it was used.. When it was manufactured by the Tons.. lol, Dont worry tho its all said in good fun, I used to be like that too, Searched absolutely everything to double check, but at some point in life, when you're someone who reads alot and interest himself in history and politics and wars, you kinda get to trust your brains when it gives you a hint about something.

Re: The M79 with flares ?
In EoD2, we had buckshot.. There was also the flechette based rounds, but I did not create any of those for EoD2.
There will be in PR:V.. HE, Buckshot, Smoke and probably a Flare..

Re: The M79 with flares ?
It isn't hard coded it can be done just like the flares in vbf2, fh2 has a search light it should work if you use something similar.
