Hey veterans of PR.
I'm posting this to inquire for a friend as he feels that buying a digital copy of BF2 from Steam instead of going to a shop and buy the retail copy as the retail copy is a little more expensive then the digital copy.
Main question is, are we able to play Project Reality 0.917(and newer versions in the future) with the digital copy of BF2.
Please reply asap.
See you guys on the battlefield.
Thanks in advance

I do think this is fully possible, you just need to install PR in a different directory which is located in steam folder if i recall correctly. Can any one confirm?

This user is cute, I think I shall adopt him. I shall call him... mini-me.
on topic, there have been issues in the past, and it sometimes takes a little work, but i do believe that you can fully play the Steam version. Sometimes has frustrations, but generally its all good.

The steam version which includes all of the expansions is $30 USD
On amazon you can get vanilla battlefield on its own for around $8 USD and that is the choice I picked, no issues and I have been playing for about 8 months
I would suggest getting a hard copy, since PR was designed around that.

it is also possible to buy it digitally from the EA downloader and this has no problems whatsoever.
just putting it out there

Stem version is perfectly fine. No need to worry about installation paths for PR.
Just make sure you turn off the Steam overlay in your Steam settings. I'm not at home right now so I forget exactly what the setting is called.
