Memory.dll: all alloc attempts failed for size 1048576

Post by grimsteel »

I get this error when server is running maps like dragon fly or some other map which's name I don't remember.
I tried searching from google but I couldn't find any clear solution for xp, only for vista.
I increased something called "apparent memory"(not sure if it's correct translation) from personal computer's additional settings. (My bf2 is installed to E)
Now E's "apparent memory" is 1000-1020 (originally it was 0-0)
I also tried running the map with medium terrain and low dynamic lights.

This error also seems to make my deskop's backround black.

Well, it seems that I get map to run if I use low enough video settings.

"apparent memory" is probably "virtual ram"or page file. Turn it off on your "E" drive. Have your page file on a different drive than your System or game drive if you can. Use system disk if you have to. Defrag your HDs
make sure you have 15-20% free on system drive and 4 gigs free on game drive.

Good luck
