Wouldnt this be classed as cheating? if you can see when you are bleeding out while other people have to see black and white it would be unfair dont ya think?

...\pr_edit\objects\effects_server.zip\effects\damagestates\e_dstate_soldier...

I'm guessing it's there. Not sure though, and it's more than likely that I am wrong.

Assuming PB wouldn't ban you for file mismatches, I'm not entirely sure what you need this for...

If you're looking to take screenshots/movies, just use renderer.drawhud 0 to turn off all effects(including your mag counts/firemode, sprint bar, etc) then renderer.drawhud 1 to turn them back on.

That help you out?
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.

The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

By the way, will the devs ever fix the shader bug with the bleeding effect? I do get bloodstains on my screen, but no blurring or "black and white" effect. Same thing happens with FH2, and I heard it had to do with Nvidia shaders.
Punkbuster doesn't detect this, I've been playing like that for ages.

I don't get the black and white either after a shader change years ago, and I really miss the effect :( I hear that turning off AA fixes the issue but I would rather have AA on for all of the round than B/W when revived on occasion.

For a week two years ago my graphics drivers were shot to hell and all BF2 soldier models had a vertex that extended from their head to an infinity point in the sky.

Made for some interesting rounds on Bi Ming.

im assuming you want to play online with it tho, drawing your HUD will leave you at a MASSIVE disadvantage . Also for some reason (IIRC) you cant use VoIP, so just deal with it like the rest of us and stop trying to get an advantage.

Just turn it on and off in your console during game.

renderer.drawhud 0
renderer.drawhud 1

notice... you cant use VOIP or any commo rose at this time, I use this only for taking ingame videos and want a nice clear screen with no compass etc.
