I kwon you guys in frist wolrd can afort it, and i kwon you aren't going to enjoin this since all work of mappers will be for nothing, but it is for that, that if I Do it i will preserver the Older maps but rename it has Hight detail maps.

The Map list will look like that:

Hight detail Koregal valey
Low detail Koregal valey

So you can still come in brasilian Server (just in case of a event) and we can still come in your servers, the Map core just will grow bigguer, but has you kwon the faster it is de less perfect it is.

If I gain the autorization to work in PR maps, i will start frist by cleaning out the Grass (not the hight one that can be use has camuflage) and then see some Evirioment that are quite laggy and wipe it out and replace for a similiar one that don't cause so much lag. is that what i going to do, nothing more.

There is no point on splitting the playerbase for people with high and and low end systems, it would most likley be the begging of the end of PR:BF2 if we did that.

We will be optimizing PR for low end users as we go but we will not be making a low end mini-mod.

It would also increase the file size of the mod. The devs are working on optimizing the maps. Also according to this poll:

I wouldn't want to have to download an extra 800mb for low detail maps that I never will play. My internet speeds are just awful, I don't want my connection being tied down for 2 hours to download something I don't need.

I will gladly help you purchase new computer parts online, they ship everywhere.

Men we don't need this, has long the low detail maps where a Separeted Map pack,

we just need to do this whicht skill.

I apreciety you Good will, but evem if you really buy a computer for my (what is nearby impossible to someone do this) there is much more guys that will not be able to play anymore PR, i can say that 0.901 has stolen PR from this people. that's right IMO.

anyway this is getting quite dramatic, but I must do this MAP PACK, for my gratitude for all the time PR grat my FUN, has well for my comunity.

seriously, its GOOD that PR requires better PCs than BF2 does, i mean, otherwise, PR would look like a 6 year old game

its not good that PR needs a better PC than ARMA2 or Crysis
its funny some parts of maps in PR run like Crysis ran on my PC maxed out
which is 10-15FPS
also why are Fools Road and Kozelsk lagging now?
some of the old maps where Brilliant at least to me.

Parts aren't very cheap here either.... Its export and import prices and you're not the only one feeling it. Technology gets old pretty fast and its not easy to keep up, and it doesn't matter where you live.

Dragonfly has a issue with max textures, but thats a unique and therefore irrelevant issue imho

Save your god damn money and stop buying cigarrettes. If you smoke, drink, party too hard, or watch to much movies or spend all your money on useless **** instead of upgrading your PC then that is your own dang fault. I mean, really, instead of buying a good computer you instead waste hundreds of dollars on something that is KILLING you. PR should be your one TRUE addiction.

I understand you guys have older computers and I understand how it can be frustrating but I do not want my map butchered to run on lower end computers. Its not the grass that slows it down its all the building and trees.

Unfortunately PR is moving away from small maps and you just need to find ways of keeping up.

Speaking of keeping up CRF, is there any reason that I should be getting 20 fps with no AA everything High but Textures with an ATI HD4890 and a Dual Core Athlon 64 6000+ Dual Core 3ghz and 3 gigs of ram? Would the 1 gig of ram help? Could it be my mobo just not liking the HD4890 and not giving it enough bandwidth? Am i just retarded?

Agreed, we don't need to separet the mod, if we where ablle to place it has a Option to servers to use those Low detail maps, everone may enter in Hight grafic server or a Low grafic server, because the game will load in true diferent maps, insteand of just kicking the old and laggy ones.

About the list of maps that are laggy, they where overall the ones how got alot of grass, like koregall valley, and other jungle stuff, Desert maps at all run So good that i don't sense lag any part of game, i guess that is the grass at all that's doing this.

and then the servers will chose what map, and then put it to play. what you thick?

HAAN, this is not what I meant . What I meant was, I'm sure there are maps that lower-end pc's can handle much better than the large ones with a lot of statics. My idea was to set up a server for those who want to play PR with a decent framerate, but only the smaller maps, or maps that don't have a lot of statics - both increase fps (not entirely true, but you get what I mean). This doesn't require modding, as that's not something that's going to happen.

And as been said before, the team is still working on optimizing PR. You have to understand that a good balance between quality and performance must be found, without ruling one out.

So, perhaps, in the mean time, people that suffer badly with low fps's, could play on a server (or more) that only plays maps that run much better on low-end pc's.

(I know I'm repeating myself here and there, but I fear a language barrier is in the way, confusing things )

I believe there are simply just some unoptimized things in certain maps. With i7 920 @ 3.6ghz, HD5870 & 6GB of ram, there's still places on Fallujah west where I barely manage over 32FPS (looking North-North East from around B6). That's not a lack of computational power, that's just something wasting computation and thus eating away at the ability to render at reasonable (>60) frames per second. By comparison on maps like Archer, Al Basrah, Jabal, Yamalia, Korengal, I easily average 150-300FPS. Fallujah is building-heavy yes, but since my 8800GT could manage ~45fps at worst with everything maxed in 0.85-0.87D, something has definitely gone awry in terms of optimized inclusions

Edit: And can I just add a +1 sentiment to your previous post regarding weighing up one's various relaxation activities and the financial commitments respectively. Gaming [well PR to be honest, I'm 90% over other gaming having grown out of single player games and the CODs of this generation] is my favourite pastime besides driving my car, which I also saved up for over 4 years to buy.

I'm going to jump in and say: Gaming is not a human right, it's a privilege. Even thou I'm sure the MODs do not wish to selectivly exclude anyone from their mod it is ofcourse necessary to advance the visual experience to achieve a more realistic game, these visuals are both eyecandy and many times gameplaywise important.

With that said I'd also like to point out that I had to stop playing since apparently my computer(which can max Crysis, ArmA2 & I work with 3D so it's all high end here!) can not run certain PR maps very efficient making it a pain to play. The visuals are great for a game this old but it seems you are pushing the engine a bit to far, the game might not look like it's 6 years old anymore but the engine most certainly is. Even with the changes you have done,' it's not optimized for this kind of abuse.

None of those components will cost a fortune, anywhere. We're talking 5 year old technology after all, not a need for bleeding-edge kit.
