Deviation Feedback

Post by Hunt3r »

Note: This, in no way, shape or form, constitutes anyone else's opinion. All thoughts in this constitutes my own, and if construed as otherwise, is not my problem.

As it is, I believe that the max deviation values and rate of deviation decrease are unchanged, and rate of deviation increase are the exact same as rate of decrease, and this feedback reflects this.

Deviation, quite simply, has improved a great deal. I think this is a step in the right direction, as previously you could quite literally have someone walk into you and have your deviation reset.

However, I do think there are a ways to go in terms of making CQC a bit more fluid, as currently it's still rather spray and pray. It was definitely an improvement from .874. I think that in order to make it better, it would be best to decrease the rate at which deviation decreases, and to decrease the rate at which deviation increases. Additionally, the max deviation should be decreased, so that it still takes 5 seconds to settle completely from max deviation, but max deviation is not bad enough that CQB has many spraying and praying.

No way. I liked it best as it was in 0.6, when you hit where you aimed. 0.9 is a little better in that way, but still your aim is like a school girl on a pony if you don't wait ridiculously long time. But I approve having like 10 seconds before maximum deviation. One don't choke oneself by running over a yard.

If you know you're gonna end up in CQB with someone(s), grab a shotgun and forget the deviation. American rifleman specialist is the best CQB kit in the game. End of story.

the only place CQB needs development imo is with scopes (not to make them equal to ironsights, just to make them more convenient)

Yeah it has improved a bit, but it is still to much. Especially in CQC combat with scopes, best tactic is to spray auto unscouped lawl.

The Shotgun is only Breaching Slug which is one giant ball of 1770 lethality. compared to buckshot which is only used by insurgents. Breaching does kill in one hit if you are lucky. The Remington is the best.

Have you played 0.9 yet? Rifleman Specialist's semi-auto shotgun comes with the buckshot nowdays :)

Russian and MEC rifleman specialists are better.

Reload is so much faster.

Btw, spray and pray is the way to go in CQB. Because people are so close that aiming is almost not needed... whoever pulls the trigger usually wins.

That or, increase the cone of deviation lenght, so, the deviation would be felt at longer distances, and not that much in CQC.

Comrade, maybe in PR, but, in real life conventional armyes instruct you to always have the weapons at aimpoint in CQC. It's more about speed and reflex.

Highly accurate buckshot, I could only see one impact but not at a crazy diversion.

I wish they would tune the deviation down a notch.Sometimes I can be perfectly still and not have moved at all,and then when I shoot,it might go way left, right, high,or low.If the deviation was turned down a notch,I would be fine.I'm not saying I can't kill anyone,I just wish the deviation wasn't so high.I've shot a M16A4,and it was hitting right where I was aiming.I'll never get Project Reality's deviation system.

The problem that I have sometimes it seems is even though you are standing still, your deviation wont settle to minimum, its like it vibrates ever so slightly and wont come to a rest.

This is when I find I will take a shot, and it will miss by a decent margin. I have yet to figure out what causes this sometimes.

you have to be still for a few seconds (depending on range) , there use to be a video on youtube explaining it, but cant find it at moment. just sit still (and crouch/stand dont go prone) for 2-4 seconds (depending on range) before you fire. Also dont go prone (unless the target is miles away)as your deviation goes sky high .

While I still spray and pray at CQC I've noticed an almost equal ratio of getting killed by an aimpoint or ironsighted player at cqc.

Deviation is weird. Accuracy never decreases to 0%, so I have never, ever, got a kill on the first shot. I mean never. This has caused me to always lose stealth when engaging the enemy, as the bullet flies by their head, they insta-dive into cover and automatically know where I am.
