More types of 40mm UGL catriges used by grenadier

Post by samogon100500 »

Hello!
My suggestion is to make more types of 40mm UGL catriges(Grenades):
I find some information about it:
History Question........ - Page 98 - Marine Corps Community for USMC Marine Veterans
40-mm Cartridges
GP-25 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
40 mm grenade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mostly factions use NATO UGLs,some factions use RUS UGL(VSRF(Russian army) and mostly terrorists) and China use hes UGL  !
I don't have information about china catriges, but i have many information about NATO and Russian weapon, well what am think about grenadier equpliment:
1)Blufor(USA,USMC,GB,IDF,CAN etc.):15 HE(HEDP) catriges,2-3 Buckshot No.4 rounds,2-3 parashute stars and 5 Smokes!
2)OPFOR with NATO weapon(Like MEC):16-18 HE(HEDP) catriges, 2-4 parashute stars and 5 smokes
3)Russian army and terrorists:16 HE(VOG-25) catriges,4 Airburst HE(VOG-25P) catriges and 5 smokes

About thats rounds:
1)HE(HEDP) - How used in PR!
2)Airburst HE- 2x deadly radius
3)Buckshot - 100% dead,if target stay on 1-15m,25-50% damage if target stay on 15-20 uselles on target where dictance >30m
4)Parashute stars - just flare with slow falling speed,it's good tool,if FB is attacked and u can't write in teamchat!!!I think it's good tool for big 32vs32 funwars!!!

The round explodes into the air, sending a large pressure wave in all directions instead of the force being wasted by exploding after hitting the ground.

Used as anti-personal, also combined with shrapnel.

VOG-25P
40 mm VOG-25P caseless LV HE Air-burst grenade (Russian Federation) - Jane's Ammunition Handbook
The front of the body has a light-metal truncated cone as an ogive, from which the body and nose of the self-destruct VGM-P fuze protrude for some distance. On striking the ground, the impact fuze fires a small charge of smokeless powder; this blows the main body of the grenade back into the air. As it does so, a short delay unit is ignited, and after the grenade has risen between 0.5 and 1.5 m into the air, this delay burns through and initiates the HE charge. The lethal radius is 6-7 m against prone and standing targets. The rebounding effect is claimed to work on all types of terrain, hard or soft, and at any range.

That would be awesome on silent eagle (low light) Russia would have red flare and US would have blue flare

I'm not for the flare grenades just because they wouldn't have much use. Instead of them I don't know of its realistic or possible but what about a greanade that you fire at the enemy position and acts as a laser for aircraft to see and hit. This would kind of act as marking an enemy position with smoke except that doesn't work that great in PR. Would also be nice to have that russian airburst round implemented if it was possible.

All for this idea. I don't really find Rifleman AP so good unless you're supposed to be booby trapping a bottleneck.

How about HEDP that can take out a BMP/Bradley with direct hits on the side, back, and top? HEDP is HEAT with HE-Frag all in one.

I like the flare idea. And the airburst round could be nice against large entrenched/high position units...
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

I really like the flare idea also, in PR it could be used in so many situations. I also wouldn't mind the HEDP round, but how often is that issued to grenadiers?

Hunt3r: HEDP is intended to be used on thin skinned targets such as Humvees/Technicals/ect, it was never intended to be used to take on light armor.

There is no buckshot round for the M203. There have been test conducted on the feasibility of a buckshot round, like those used in the M79 during Vietnam but none are currently in production or fielded to my knowledge. The Mk.19 has a canister round, which is were you may have gotten confused.

All I have ever encountered soldiers carrying are HEDP,Smoke, and Illum rounds. In PR Illum rounds have no function as there are not that many night maps, but if night maps become more prevalent then maybe we will implement Illum rounds. As for airburst rounds a M203 grenade has to impact a hard surface to detonate it can't explode in the air, plus there would be no good way to implement that in PR.

Just because you read it on Wiki doesn't make it correct.

I'm locking this for lack of feasibility and lack of grounding in reality.
