I don't know what the problem is but sometimes during gameplay my screen will freeze for like 3-5 second intervals. This makes it very difficult to fly or really do anything because I never know when the next freeze might happen, help?

Re: Small freezes during gameplay
This also happens to me and I love flying but I have to quit for the mercy of my team. Hopefully for me it just might be my old hardware so I've picked out everything new like processor, motherboard, more RAM, and a new graphics card. At the end of this month I'll have all these and I'll report back and see if it still does it so we can find out if its your hardware or a different problem.

Re: Small freezes during gameplay
please distingush whether it is a performance or connection issue
execute "renderer.drawfps 1" in bf2 console and make sure you see your FPS
when this freez happens, check if the FPS are being updated

- if your FPS are not updated its a performance issue, which is quite hard to resolve because it is so individually different for each PC
- if it IS updating you might experience connection issues
in this case Please post your network setup (router-model, direct connection, DSL, 36k-modem, how many clients)

Try lowering everything to medium or lower.
Check out Tweakguides.
They have nice screenshots for each setting.
Good luck

sounds like a harddrive that cant catch up or swapping, defragment your hd and make sure the swapfile is not defragmented bye first defragging your drive, setting a very small swap drive and then making new swap drive with the size you wanted.

Re: Small freezes during gameplay
Yea it most probably is my wireless internet because when i plug my computer onto a ethernet cable (Which is not practical in my house) i do not get any CP but thats not the point. I want to attempt to fix it so it works on wireless, if anyone has any clues on how to do it they would be appriciatedJman234 wrote:Your problem might be the wireless internet.
