Forest is my favorite battle zone, becouse I automaticly know how to fight there, and killing wchole SQ is simple for me.
PS. My favorite map is Ghost Train.

DEpends on the map, Kashan with its wide open areas is boring while Silent Eagle also has wide open areas it does not feel the same way as kashan.
I like it if the map is well made, but my least favorite must be forest maps, I dont know I just get bored of them.

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

I like when its a blend of both CQB and open. But I do prefer fighting in a jungle enviroment then in a desert or city enviroment.

Yeah, me too. I can't really play with scoped weapons in Fools Road, Silent Eagle and Yamalia...ConscriptVirus wrote:Urban maps makes me laaag. I really like the smaller open maps like qwai and i recently just played asad khal and it is my new favorite map.

Re: street warfare or open terrain?
When the team works in concert, even open maps are fun, with a heightened pace.
I don't recall the name of the map, but it was large n' semi-wooded, we had chinooks. Our squad leader was smart and we got inserted to all the right places at the right time.
The rush of reinforcing another squad, landing in a hot LZ, hitting the dirt and needing to obtain your bearings while returning fire, and moving on foot to secure objectives and combat armor, that's pretty slick.
As has been said, urban warfare is pretty generic in games these days, and things become much too run and gun.

Urban combat w/ armor = epic.
It actually encourages protecting the armor as if it was their objective. (Or well, when people actually do that >.>)

i don't really care as long as i can hide somewhere (i'm mostly playing grunt) so kashan can give me headaches.
also: doing urban combat properly is one of the hardest things in PR i think. especially when armor support is involved. but you CAN do it and then it's extremely satisfying.

Urban warfare feels better. That's just the way it is. Best ones are maps with infantry and light vehicle support.

Pretty much with everyone. A mix of everything, but especially urban maps and small forest and jungle maps for maps that emphasize infantry combat.
(Even though people are always entitled to their opinion, I just know someone is going to say "desert maps ftw i hate forest maps cuz its hard 2 snipe"

Hey, China has its fair share of jungles too!SickmanTX wrote:I like street warfare too, leave jungle warfare to BF:Vietnam!
This thread reminds me, how many maps have vehicle warfare? I would imagine maps like Qwai River and Yamalia are open and flat enough that vehicle warfare might not be too bad on those. Of course, I've never played such mode on any other map but Kashan so I don't know if they do.

I like desert maps, like kashan desert for armored combat and urban for infantry combat.

Information in the hands of a critical thinker is invaluable, information alone is simply dangerous.
