Hi I keep getting this problem ever since PR 0.9 and it 0.91 did not help solve this. I keep crashing after every map and sometimes during a match. This is still playable but can be very irritating when you are actually in the midst of a good match.
I know this problem has been brought up by many but I would just like to seek the forum's opinion on whether changing from win XP X86(32bit) to Win 7 X64 would help solve this problem since it is a memory related issue and right now win XP X86(32bit) uses only 3.5g of my 8g ram where as if I were to move to win 7 X64 I would be utilizing the full 8g.
On another note, since I already have both Win XP X86(32bit) and Win 7 X64 setup on dual boot for my computer, I would like to know if it is possible to install BF2 on Win7 in the first place since it is DX9 and Win 7 uses DX10 or 11. The last time I tried it I got some DX problems. So Anyone got it to work ? And any problems of any sort with PR on Win7 ? Would really like to move my PR to Win7.
Sorry for the long post and any helpful comments of any sort would be greatly appreciated. Thank You !

Re: 32Bit/x86 Constant Crashing After Every Map and Unable to Load Lashkar Valley
There are several people that are running PR on Win7 without problems, afaik.
Most common problem is to forget to run PR as admin and patch bf2 to 1.41 and then 1.5 (1.5 is only incremental)
Win7 supports DX9.0c, which is required by BF2. I suggest reinstalling BF2 (it should install DX9.0c ... do not cancel that installation).
You should try to get PR running on Win7 and see if your problems stopped and possibly the performance increased.
From what I see how Win7 64 works on my laptop I'd say its definitly worth another try.
If you insist on XP: Consider using XP 64 bit. I am running PR on XP Pro 64-bit with no problems.

Yea thanks for the reply. I;ll be giving it another go on WIN7 X64 and this time maybe reinstalling the directx 9.0c. Hopefully I'll be able to get it running and solve that lack of memory error when loading the next map.
