Well.....I've been around a little longer than that but only recently did I decide to register. Besides......its fun to worry cause I'm good at it.

Now excuse me while I bite my nails some.

OFP/VBS is considered the most realistic game..in terms of all out battle...

OFP never had lean function on it...

there are other stronger elements that make a gameplay realistic...other than leaning...

besides...leaning is important for urban warfare like AA..while not so important in all out battle...

so far i have never seen leaning being implemented the right way...leaning IMO was implemented properly in FSW...where u can pick round the corners...but not shooting at the same time while leaning...

I've never seen anyone shooting while leaning in real life...and I can imagine it is very difficult...especially if you are right handed and u have to left lean and shot...also..i don't see how in real life..you can lean, look down the iron sights..and shoot as well....

Exactly!!

And leaning is in just about all realistic first person shooters out there. It isnt a AA game only thing. I'm surprised by the attitude. I thought you guys wanted more realistic gameplay in this mod. :(

uuh, yeah, we all do. but as some have been trying to point out leaning isnt the only, and not even the most important thing in a realism mod. realistic damage, realistic physics, realistic guns, realistic size, realistic vehicles are all more important to me. so if leaning can't be implemented, too bad, but that doesn't mean the mod will be useless.

No it won't be useless but at least don't dismiss leaning altogether? Don't just do a half way careless attempt at trying to implement a lean then "oh well we couldn't do it lets move on" type of thing.

Honestly try to implement it. And if it doesn't happen....then it doesn't happen.

What say ye all? Is that reasonable enough?

I'm pretty sure the devs will implement leaning if they can. After all, it is realistic. It just depends on the BF2 mod tool.

from the latest release of info about BF2 editor...seems that it might be easy enough to animate a lean function...

However, i don't know how easy will be to code it...say have a separate key function etc...

The bottomline is if we can map new keys or not. If it's hardcoded there are no chances. At this point new keys will not be mapped and that has been said before by EA/DICE.
