Bf2 Complete Collection to Regular Bf2

I really need someone to answer this question. I first got the Bf2 game with the complete collection(Special forces, Euro force and Armored fury). Eventually I got Project reality downloaded(BEST THING I'VE SEEN IN MODDING) and after a while my bro broke the CD and I couldnt play anymore... But I'm planning to get the game again but I can only spend like 5$ and thats how much the origional bf2 costs but the main reason i'm getting it again is to play the mod. So my question is: Do I have to re-install bf2 and download the mod again or can I just put the disc in and play? I will appriciate your answers.

The newest BF2 patch includes all the add-ons now, so you can just buy the basic game and you get it all, if that's your question.

AKA: You just need to patch BF2 to the newest version and PR will work

Yeah, afaik, you don't need the disc to play BF2 either.

Doesn't include SF which is still 20 bucks seperate but all the other add ons yeah.

why would you even need the expansion packs? they suck compared to PR, and from what I understand few servers play them anymore.

And like others have said if you have BF2 still installed and patched to 1.5 then you shouldnt even need the CD to play. And if you uninstalled BF2, then you can always pick up a copy of standard bf2 for like 5-10 bucks and you can play PR with that and why else would anyone even need to own bf2 right?

New BF 1.5 works without CD. Remember that.

Hmmm...well when I try to load bf2 w.o the CD it says "Windows cannot acces the specified device,path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item" Wait but with PR I have the patch where theres Taliban. But I havent gotten the one with Hamas and IDF so if I patch it then I can play w/o the disc?

Did you install the official 1.5 Patch for Bf2 itself?

Okay thanks alot to all of you guys. It really helped I think the simplest thing is uninstall it and install the new CD patch that download PR and patch it if it needs it. Cant wait to play the new maps and the old maps I miss like Muttarah City or Operation Archer!
