The Domes of death are far far too large.
I mean on Operation Archer, you can't even see into the base anymore. Whats the point of that?
On Gaza, the second you set foot on the other side of the big wall, you have only 9 seconds to get back. While the Blufor can sit outside the INS main and camp everyone.

Then lets not forget the map with NO dome of death. Nothing like camping an enemy base...from inside the base.

I totally agree. Dome of death around Canadian main base in Archer is ridiculously large and the team often abuses it by building TOW on the hillside inside the DoD. From that spot it's possible to cover the whole valley around, and including, the village - without fear of enemy infanrty.

Then lets not forget the map with NO dome of death. Nothing like camping an enemy base...from inside the base.

Missing DoD around British main base in Lashkar was a bug, which is, hopefully, fixed in 0.91 patch.

The Jabal DoD is absolutely ridiculous, the BMP/BRDM/BTR-60 has to go RIGHT around the back of Jabal al Burj itself to get to east beach from West, or vice versa.

Yeah we happened to slide into the water today near the West beach trying to spot US LAV that was camping beach from dod, well as soon as we hit the water we got a 8 second warning. 8 seconds later unable to climb back up or do anything really. we lost the apc. I hope Jabal gets replaced by 4km soon.

Personally, I like to think the domes of death represent a garrison force. BLUFOR would never empty a base like in these maps to complete a mission. It's the garrisoned force that keeps you at bay.
My way of thinking about it anyways.
