Skirmish fix

played skirmish a couple of times and realized that you still have to walk a lot

I think the main problem in skirmish is that you can't build FOBs sine there are no vehicles and no body wants to place rally point except for maybe one time after being told 100 times. :-x

I think a possible fix would be to make rally points unexpirable in skirmish or have spawns on flags like in vBF2?

or have the ability to build FOBs somehow maybe a kit that carries supplys to build FOBs(engineer?)
or introduce some light trans on small maps?
I am just trying to make skirmish more fun because rarely does anyone play it

because its designed for 10-16 players, not for full servers :)

I know but still it hasnt been looked at in a while and it has some problems

thats almost exactly what happens and I believe there needs to be a fix for this
it is meant for short close quarters combat

I think the best way to fix it is to allow rally points but there are other possibilities

Skirimish does not have PR style gameplay at all i think it should be removed

It's mainly for seeding servers, and it does a good job at that I think.

Its also for small scale battles as rudd said , removing it would be a bad idea.

skirmish is what the small clans play clan matches on. I think if skirmish was removed we would see a lot of smaller clans go with it. Ive played skirmish and i think that the rally points shouldnt expire as you can't build firebases unless ur hamas. It seems to be a neglected game mode and should be changed.

I love the idea of revamping Skirmish... Its a great game mode, when you get people in it, And to say that it doesnt have the PR gameplay.. all it does is takes the most intense moments of PR and throw them into a quick round, and you bypass all the walking, and other 90% boring stuff from PR... now dont get me wrong i love that too, hence why i play PR.. but sometimes at the end of a fustrating round, its nice to go play a quick Skirmish round so i can get more of that "combat" experience...


I also think that Skirmish should be added to the SP/Co-op... i play alot of SP/Co-op cause most of them time i dont have access to the internet and my buddies can easily link up on a LAN network with our laptops.

I've seen several 64 players matches in Silent Eagle and Jabal al Burj skirmish... So I think those servers should remove it from the map list?
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

No idea why you guys say to remove it I have to agree its a great gamemode for quicker matches and more intensity with smaller fights. I play on the blackwater server often which has almost all maps for skirmish and must say tons of fun and a good way to improve your infantry without having all the hassel of normal rounds.

Its not just for clans its for everyone who wants to play it.

Yeah that many players on a skirmish is just not fun and hectic. Ends in like 20 minutes if your lucky with constant chaos and yeah obviously that many players is not intended for that mode. Very little point to a full server skirmish. There should be about 20 players tops on a skirmish map in my belief or things get a little too wild.

it shouldnt be removed it should be fixed so that you shouldn't need to walk for hours to get to a firefight

I suggest either rally points have unlimited or something similiar or you can spawn on some flags

walking on small maps really takes the fn out esspecially if you try to hurry up to get in your squad and then accidentally get killed

maybe because for some reason even skirmish maps are big but if they are small then the game play would be like CODMW

the reason skirmish needs a fix is because sometimes id rather play small quick and fun rounds instead of long somewhat boring and serious rounds
