It's outdated now, due to having been made in 0.6, and it's also no longer all that useful with the implementation of AAS v3, with random flag caps it's hard to define a pre-battle plan.

Each map has important non-flag locations. If you believe that our team/faction is better equipped to defend rather than attack (as once you're on a no-bleed situation there is no im perative to cap flags if you can bleed them through being in a superior position defensively), you may wish to 'lock down' and dominate certain zones of the battlefield.

Whilst AAS3 makes this a bit more awkward. Areas such as city center areas in Beirut, regardless for flag location, are important to hold for such a tactic to work. I'm a firm b elieve that if you sweep the map in AAS and control area by area, flag capping (aside from the very least to stop bleed) is somewhat secondary, and can be done at leisure once the enemy has been pushed out naturally.

Despite the fact that flags are random on a lot of maps this could still be useful to generate plans for skirmishes or any map where specific areas need to be controlled. Gaza and Beirut and Archer and Karbala could still be used for this. Also thing about C&C mode.

No, it's not sarcastic. There is NOTHING wrong with making motions in insurgency mode despite the fact that caches spawn randomly. There are still areas of interest in maps. Hills on Lashkar, Castles on Archer, fob placement before the cachehunt. Sniper team deployment, UAV sweeps, tank placement, the list goes on. Even when a cache is discovered, you could have a whole team re-deployment, this could be good to organize such a large motion.

Yes, this will be good for insurgency.
