All previous PR versions have run perfectly on high settings on my pc and this is the first version to do this. It happens occasionally but when it does it is a game killer. The glitch seems to be sourced by an object like a APC/tank/soldier and moves along with it in which bars of color just shoot across the screen in planes which block my line of site. I have turned my graphics down and have reinstalled the game without any previous versions already on my computer. Screenshot attached.

That is known as artifacting, have you tried playing other resource demanding games?
The 7900Gx (T or S.) are known for breaking and artifacting, happened to my 7900GT when I had it years ago.
It's the power regulator causing that. Try clearing your Battlefield 2 cache and see if it gets any better. (Documents/Battlefield 2/mods/bf2,delete all content inside.)

Re: [0909] Graphics Bug
I play crysis on medium+ settings and I have never had this problem with it on any other game. I have noticed that this only happens on maps that are from Ramiel to newer. Kashan etc this never happens.

I just used Ramiel as a reference point. All the new versions from that point on have had this problem. How do I increase the speed of the fan?

Re: [0909] Graphics Bug
Actually I have had a bug similar to this as well back in 909, but not in 917. It was on Operation Dragon Fly, and if I looked in the general direction of an armored vehicle (no matter where it was on the map) I got this. It's definitely something game-related, he's not hallucinating. If this was in 909 it may have been fixed though because I've yet to encounter it in 917

Re: [0909] Graphics Bug
It does most commonly happen with any sort or armored vehicles mainly the Russian ones. Every now and again it happens on a soldier or a gun.
I do get it commonly on .917

Same card, (7900GT) same problem. only way to fix is wiping cache like SCUD said. Turning antialiasing will reduse the number of times you will encounter it, but not fix it. press Alt+Tab, which minimizes the game, and remaximize it. This should save you from restarting the game every time it happens.Stinger_SCUD wrote:The 7900Gx (T or S.) are known for breaking and artifacting, happened to my 7900GT when I had it years ago.
As for versions in which this happens, i've had the bug since 0.856.

Re: [0909] Graphics Bug
I reinstalled a early 2009 driver for the 7900gs and dropped the aa to none and i have experienced less incidences with this occuring
