Well, after experiencing some "driver problems", I was able to play a bit of PR and here are my first impressions(positive and negative)
-server browser well designed. I wish only there was a way to actually search servers by country.
-graphics are ok. Maybe a bit on the old side, although I bet this comes mainly because of BF2.
-maps are huge, or seem huge. This is good, but at the same time quite daunting for a new player, I think.
-character moves ok, although a bit on the stick side. The blood and injuries are well designed and realistic I think.
Except that how is one able to call a medic for help? I didnt figure that one yet.
-from what I heard in game, teamwork and communication is very important, which is great.
As a new player, I wanted to first play the game without having to deal with following orders or giving orders, and so I was just listening to the other players.
However, coming from Americas Army, I know the importance of teamwork, tactics and strategy, so I like what I heard.
-is there a way to see one's stats? like how many kills/death? I didnt see that feature anywhere.
Anyway, this is it for my first few tries of PR.
Overall, I find the game well designed and I look forward to further play it.

- PR .91 has single player built into it, play that to get use to weapons and assets without having the pressure of a "live" online game, this way mistakes will only piss AI off
- You can see the K/D of that game by pressing tab, but overall stats over numerous games are not kept, ala bf2 stats.
Welcome, Any questions please do post.

i am happy to hear that you like it
you can call for medic if you hit the caps lock or whatever key brings up the map and kit selection menu on the bottom right corner you can see form left to right Give up/ Call for Medic , and Done. (ONLY IF YOU ARE WOUNDED!!!!!)
Now if you click on the Give up/ Call for Medic button with the left click you give up and you are no longer reviveable BUT if you click on that button with the RIGHT click then you are able to shout and call for a medic, and hope fully a med will come and take care of you
I hope it helps
and there is actually a way to see your stat by HOLDING down the TAB key and the name list pops up. While you are holding down the TAB key you can right click anywhere on the screen and you are able to scroll down or up on the screen
and on the top of the screen there are symbols and they are representing these:
the flagthing the Points
the sniper scope thing is saying how many kill you've got
the Skull means how many times you died
and the last one is your ping
I hope it was a good info source
Cheers
As my name shows....... I will kill y'all if you are screwing with me

Re: First Impressions!!
Welcome!
Unlike vanilla BF2 your kills will not appear instantly when you have killed an enemy, don't forget that(kills will appear after a few minutes or so).
Americas Army concentrates on CQB(close quarter battle), while BF2
roject Reality is more about mechanized infantry(infantry units collaborating with armor and air support).
Read the manual, it contains valuable info about the game.

Re: First Impressions!!
PR also tries to look away from stats, because that will increase solo, egoisme etc. And that will decrease Teamwork......

Re: First Impressions!!
The stats are there, but certain tasks are rewarded very heavily, and others barely at all.
If you want points, just build and you will win every round.
I've been in clean sweep rounds where our arms squads have rolled through from the first flag to the last absolutely owning everything in their way through superior tactics and skills, and beaten them by a wide margin as one of those retarded logistics squads spamming firebases everywhere that no one ever spawned on. Yeh, "Builder" or "Logi" squad won that round.

Not necessary considering the amount of total servers and you can sort by ping.avguste wrote:-server browser well designed. I wish only there was a way to actually search servers by country.

Those FOBs may look retarded in hindsight but if you're advance had broken and you needed an area to fall back on, you would have been thanking that logistics squadTruism wrote:The stats are there, but certain tasks are rewarded very heavily, and others barely at all.

PR Can't do that, or can it? (Or you could just compare pings, lower = better)
-graphics are ok. Maybe a bit on the old side, although I bet this comes mainly because of BF2.
True that, but the gameplay is a lot better.
-maps are huge, or seem huge. This is good, but at the same time quite daunting for a new player, I think.
That is what drive's PR's teamwork, so people won't take a Blackhawk for themselves like in Vanilla.

I think gazz answered that

Side note on the medics; You don't just chuck the medic pack on the ground, you have to stand there with your medic to get yourself patched up, don't give up either, unless you have to, your body + kit = a few tickets.

Re: First Impressions!!
dont call for a medic unless you realy have to. enemies can hear your call for a medic, and they will know he is around. talk to your squad medic via voip, describe the location where you are, what killed you and from where, and remember, never give up unless medic says so
