MEC inf sneaks up on me as i snipe some guys, he has a knife and i see him, we end up in a knife fight and he pushes me off the building! lol.

Knife Fights are memorable when alone, I just had one last night with a AR guy on a roof. It just feels that great when they do go for a knife.

As the game starts I have a full dedicated squad of jihads, I inform them of my plan. Arty IED ambush on the arch palace corner.

I drop my ammo on the corner and start the digging. I get 4 arty ieds up when suddenly Bradley APC pops out on the corner and starts shooting around. Nobody is hit, we take cover and wait.

I'm now about 150m down the street behind my techie waiting for the detonation. Suddenly I see a hummvee going full speed on that corner.

"allahu akbar" can be heard on the VOIP before 4 mushrooms of dust start going up in the sky.

Hummvee destroyed, Bradley flaming.

I run back into the dust with my techie to set 1 more ARTY ied I had ready, then I run back to main to reload ammo techie.

Once at the main reloading, my spotters call in a full bluefor Squad on that same corner of the ambush. I take out my cell phone, "allahu akbar" and beep.

All I could hear after that was my spotters laughing their asses off. lol

We then proceeded to take out LAV, Abrams and many more with the gary team. What a surprise, the server "crashed" as I was 10-0 and the insurgent team dominating. All armors taken out, ambushes set up all around. I guess the admins felt the humiliation too hard.. lol Was on NWA server..

My squad mate and I were walking through the eastern part of Muttrah City, when we heard the sound of an enemy chopper coming in. We ducked down along the roadside and cringed as his rockets lit up the road nearly killing us. After the dust settled, my buddy turned and said, "Man, that was close."

30 seconds later, the chopper returned again and let loose more fire. Somehow we both were still alive, so we turned and ran trying to keep it that way. Once safely inside a building entrance, he said, "That was even closer than before." I had to agree with him.

We chose to wait for some friendlies to arrive before moving, and before long, the heli sounded overhead. "Don't worry," said my squad mate, "there is no way he can hit us in here." As soon as those words came out of his mouth, the chopper spun a 360 and hovered 5 feet off the ground staring straight at us. The last thing I heard was "Ahhh **** are you serious!" *boom*

Was playing Ramiel in co-op mode with standard layout and was driving a Bradley and trying to capture the Mosque control point. I saw a 9P124 BRDM coming down the road from the Insurgent Operations Base and began to engage it with the Bushmaster. The trees in the middle of the road made it hard to get a clear shot at him and I was down to HEI-T ammo, having exhausted my sabot earlier. Long story short, the last thing I saw was an ATGM from the BRDM coming straight in my face just a split-second before 'DEAD'.

On the chicago Insurgency/AAS server, I had to revive my officer laying in enemy crossfire. My squad surpressed them, I went to my officer when I stood 2mtr away of him I saw a russian shooting out the window. I took the back entrance and Said "Yippie Kay Yay M(&(&*^RTU*$&^^" (Like Die hard) and right around the corner I saw 3 russians changing kits and reloading luckily I could kill them as my gun was on burst-fire. Really scary when you find 4 russians instead of 1.

Im still a new player but I've allready have a (some actualy but I cant remember) "oh ****" moment

Playing as insurgent warrior I cant remenber the map.
I was alone my squad was split up. I saw the enemy revive a friend "A clip later" there dead I start reloading my weapon...when I see an enemy squad walking towards me...wait theres more....at that point I was like "RELOAD! RALOAD DAM YOU!"...then a merkava tank passes right by me followed by by 2 enemy squads....I was alone...versus...the other team...need I say more

2 at Tactical Gamer:

1. After teaching my SL how to use mumble, we joked a lot and later the whole squad bunched up to hear the SL talking to another SL through mumble. I look back, I go check an entrance. I move 10 meters. FSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BOOOMMM 5 deaths with 1 TOW. "Oh ****!!" I turned around - I was the only one who survived. And my Officer. Officers have more lives than enlisted men. Go figure.

2. Now this was really an "Oh ****!" Moment, I really thought of that word: Muttrah. Running in the open road as MEC at the docks. I see attack huey coming directly towards me. I hear rockets firing. "OHHH CRAPPP!!!""""" Rockets hit the containers just in front of me and right behind me. 4 of my squad members died. I didn't get a single scratch. Note those rockets landed 5 meters behind me, and just a few centimeters too low.

Couple nights ago on Karbala working along side the Tank as an infantry squad. We are in b1 having a long range shootout with insurgents in the village compound south of us.

Random blue guy: GARY C4, GARY C4
Me: tank sq....did you see that
tank squad: WTF is a gary
Me to my squad: RUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNN

We didn't make it far enough. Tank had no idea what hit it.

When me and a squad mate were walking through some grass on Ghost Train. We see an enemy squad in front of us and immediately drop into the grass and don't move. After about 30 seconds, the squad seems to have passed. Then a gunshot and a black screen

I was in a stryker transporting infantry when gary was reported just north of us, we had the infantry dismount and cut the engines quickly, sure enough we could hear it. We decided we would try and RTB, see if we couldnt out-run it.

Sure enough we saw it still a long ways off, and the gunner was firing like a mad man as we booked it. Then from a roof top just before us I see an enemy an enemy HAT stand up...well.....shit.

It took out all the wheels on our left side...we were truly cripled. At this point I was just going non-stop in mumble, we need a loggy, we got gary on our ***, no way we can RTB at this time, ect, ect.

And of course what turns the corner down the road? GARY! It came at us full speed, an we knew we were dead, we both hoped out and ran for our damn lives....and before I knew it...

My friend had a "oh ****" moment a few days ago:

We was playing muttrah for USMC, and were flying the cobra.
I was flying it, and he gunned.
We went back towards the carrier after some good lazer kills.

Then my screen went black for one sec, and I was like: "Look! There is my desktop! (a nice looking picture from the PR arma announcement)"
And my friend was like "you are kidding me, right?
Then he heard the sound of my pilot screaming behind him. The engine turned off and the cobra started do descend rapidly.
... "Oh ****"
*DEAD, respawning in...*

Not fun to waste a cobra in that way...

Jabal, yesterday as US. A friend and I took an APC and after the US had taken Jabal Al Burj we went on a small raid on the other side of the river.

Just as we drove up on a hill we saw a HAT with the weapon seemingly ready to fire, he scared the **** out of us but didn't shoot so we got out of there alive but well shaken.

Was playing Muttrah City in co-op mode with standard layout in a BMP-3. Had just captured the North City Center control point and was heading to the last one at the Muttrah Docks when a TOW Humvee came around the corner. We both saw each other at about the same time but he got the TOW off just before I could open up on him with the autocannon. 'DEAD'.

I was MEC, driving a T-72 around a small hill to conceal myself, come around the corner, and I have two M1 Abrams aiming straight at me within 50m, my gunner and I didn't last too long at all...

Muttrah 64 as inf SL. Was after a retreating guy that tried to escape with his HAT. He ran around some corners and i tried to intercept him on the flank. After i went around a corner he was standing there ready to aim and shoot at me. I pulled the trigger but everything i heard was "click". ---Oh **** moment--- Surprisingly the other guy didnt shoot either and i managed to reload behind the corner. As i went back to get him, he was gone. Maybe he had a empty mag aswell..... So maybe two "oh ****" moments in one

I had also an "Oh ****" moment:

It was Dragon fly map, RT server, right after 0.9 release.

We were GB, checking a building in the city. I was medic and I had no granades. It was quiet and we didn't expected that it's full of militia.

When we entered it (act. 3 of us) and, without any fear, went to the staircase, s1 shot both my squadmates from upstairs. I was alone, so I went a bit back, in the corner, when I could cover whole room from, including stairs.

Suddenly, I can see this mutherf****** that shot my comrades. He wasn't aiming me and I was stabilized on him. I wanted to restrain him. RT was using one-chanel, forced-to-be-used Mumble, so I shouted on him:
- Halt! drop your weopon and get your hands up!
Than I heard massive choir of laughts overhead:
- LMAO, ARE U TRYING TO ARREST THE WHOLE SQUAD?!

Oh ****...

RT was using one-chanel, forced-to-be-used Mumble, so I shouted on him:
- Halt! drop your weopon and get your hands up!
Than I heard massive choir of laughts overhead:
- LMAO, ARE U TRYING TO ARREST THE WHOLE SQUAD?!

And that kids is why we have 2 channel Mumble servers.

Yep! Except for the fact that in COD4 they were...

1.Marines (not british)
2.A chopper (not on foot, only later)
3. Not carrying binos
4.It was not a Gary, it was an atomic bomb (which, rethinking, they are the same, so scratch this one)
5. The chopper fell down.
6. You were in the middle of the city, not in the middle of the bloody desert!
7. There were debrises all over the place.
8. (note on nº2) They HAD choppers. Unlike the british, which don't even have a lynx

Can't think of any more right now. But besides those, yeah, they are pretty similar.

Especially the blood effects.

And the last stand feel.


Ah and nº 9 - You die in COD4. And don't respawn. You become a totally new guy, with different accents and stuff (and a funny name, "Soap")
