Faster Way to Replenish Your Sprint (Stamina)
If its at all possible to make something reload your sprint quicker, it could be used to get out of sticky situations. I gotta admit, I think the PR soldiers are un-realistically slow and unfit on the sprint, the walk speed is just fine. In some cases you can't sprint more than 100+ metres, realistically, it should be at least 200.
This could be better for gameplay, resolving the leaving players just because "its too far and slow to get back on foot"
I have no idea really what could do it... maybe a suck on your drinks hose or a can of pepsi in your kits.
Stupid but could work nicely.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you CAN sprint for 100m.
Also, IRL... they are carrying alot of heavy gears (especially since the development of armor plates in plate carriers).

Keep in mind that they aren't actually walking in game, the unsprinted version is actually a pretty god jog.

Raise your weapon and move while aiming = walking
Regular movement = jogging/running
Shift + movement = sprinting
You try jogging half a kilometre in the desert or jungle or forest, with 30kg of gear, (I'm not even counting the pack) and then start sprinting and see how long you can keep it up.

yea HAHa .... i think there pretty good the way they are .. the WALKING aiming speed IS a bit messed up though and has been suggested ... and should be fixed but running distance is Pretttyy good when you think about it .. lol they are ( simulating Hauling a bunch of gear ) for a long distance i would be pretty burt out ... if it was real

"Adrenaline" shots have been suggested already, but I think it's hardcoded (ie. I don't think you can give a replenished spring to a solider when he gets suppressed... also imagine the exploits in this! Auto-suppressing your squad members to run!)

I think the sprinting system is fine in my opinion, I just don't think that jumping should cut your stamina so much, that is what brings my stamina down the most in my opinion.

no super human adrenaline shots.....
The bf2 engine is quite limited in what we can do to it. Basically we have the maximum editable setting we can do.

im fine with everything, i just wish you could get one jump before it penalizes you. jumping over a fence and having no sprint to run to cover really carbon diamonds.

indeed, it would be nice to be able to jump without so much a penaltyankyle62 wrote:im fine with everything, i just wish you could get one jump before it penalizes you. jumping over a fence and having no sprint to run to cover really sucks.

Remember back in 0.8, conventional forces had 20 sec sprint (100m).
Sprint reload was something like 1min 40 sec.
Only insurgents and militia had 30 sec (150M).
I think Devs are on point..

If we're simulating carrying ceramic armour shouldn't there be a much higher resistance to body shots?

Only thing I would love to see is a non-linear sprint recovery. I'd hope this would encourage players to sprint shorter distances but still have the long haul option available if necessary with some consequences.

Sprinting is basically moving as fast as possible. Since you have that much gear on.. well..
I can sprint about 150m without gear before I'm like.. dead. And I'm fit. You want them to sprint 50 More meters, with guns, gear, and all? xD

Isnt the longest "sprint" track sport 200m? if Olympic athletes can only sprint for 200m before having to "pace themselfs" , how can soldiers?
Or is 400m a technical sprint? im not sure.

I do think the anti-bunnyhop-measures are WAY too strong. 99% of the time you aren't really "jumping" as in jumping as high as you can into the air, you're vaulting a low wall or sidewalk. That would NOT take that much stamina to do in real life. I can put my hands on a short wall and swing myself over without any real effort.

the body armor covers a small area and is mostly for explosives.Kim Jong ill wrote:If we're simulating carrying ceramic armour shouldn't there be a much higher resistance to body shots?

Source? pretty sure ballistic plates are put in vests with the main reason to stop rounds.ankyle62 wrote:the body armor covers a small area and is mostly for explosives.
