Get a channel on the public PR Mumble server and don't bother with your private Mumble server, it's a silly idea IMO.c0ca wrote:Feel free to tell us everything you like or don't like on the server, same for ideas and suggestions.

Completely agreed, i've had some very enjoyable rounds over the last few days on 10th Community but the lack of mumble has always left something missing. I really can't understand why you persist with a separate mumble, there is no downside to at the very least having both.Sgt.Smeg wrote:Get a channel on the public PR Mumble server and don't bother with your private Mumble server, it's a silly idea IMO.

high!
you guys are absolutely right - it is silly to use our own mumble-server, but it works perfect - at least for us.
see... the 10th-community is more than a pr-clan - we even gather around on our mumble-server if not playing pr,
but what we don`t want is to annoy all players on the server with our private shittalk.
so we have to make use of seperate channels to fullfill everyones needs -
one channel on the pr-server is simply not enough for all our screaming hellhounds.

Re: 10th-Community (Europe)
Fair enough.
Me and the guys at DM hang out on our TS3 server chatting shit and messing about. When we want to play PR, we always jump into the relevant Mumble channel on the PR server, whilst staying on TS.
There's no reason why you can't have both. Games with more Mumble users usually have more inter squad coordination. The problem you have is people who either don't realise you have your own Mumble server or can't be arsed to join it.
Can you at least request a 10th channel in the public server to see how popularity might grow?
The current system might work perfect for you but I bet you'll get more pubbies using Mumble in your game server if you had a public channel.

Re: 10th-Community (Europe)
Well, it would be nice with a pr mumble server as Smeg says but there should be some rules tho. The server nearly has no rules and thats not a fair idea i think.Especially, the "first come first serve" thingy is not being applied properly. A stranger comes into server makes an appropriate squad but a fast runner gets his asset just because he pressed shift. That is not fair and there should be some simple rules on this server. Other than that, as everyone knows 10th has a pretty good reputation.

Re: 10th-Community (Europe)
thanks for your input, dudes!
but hey, think i`ve got your point; i`ll try to remember myself joining the official when playing on the server.
with an exception: if a team takes orders from a commander he can assign assets to special squads (for example the huey to the cas-squad) and we DO kick for not following commander-orders.
on the other hand i`ve seen a lot of assets witch had been given to somebody who just asked for them...

think we already had (or have) our channel in the public pr-server, it only needs to be used from our admins/players. but since most of them smoke pot (including my foolish ***) they get lazy and loose any ambition to be in 2 mumbles at the same time, what could be annoying when everybody speaks and you don`t understand a single word... even one mumble and the ingame-VOIP is too mutch if they all speak at the same time. Can you at least request a 10th channel in the public server to see how popularity might grow?

Nah, thats the point we're making; there isn't any channel on the main server. I hope this can change, really wouldn't be all that difficult'[10th wrote: Totalverweigerung;1308411']think we already had (or have) our channel in the public pr-server, it only needs to be used from our admins/players. but since most of them smoke pot (including my foolish ***) they get lazy and loose any ambition to be in 2 mumbles at the same time, what could be annoying when everybody speaks and you don`t understand a single word... even one mumble and the ingame-VOIP is too mutch if they all speak at the same time.

Re: 10th-Community (Europe)
Man how many times do you see an appropriate commander in game?, people try to respect the rules sometimes but when seeing all assets stolen, i really dont feel like playing there. However, contrasting to this, im a pretty good fan of 10th community no worries. I just insist on advising you to put some BASIC rules so things dont get messed up. Many times i've seen this :'[10th wrote: Totalverweigerung;1308411']thanks for your input, dudes!

thats what i just realised yesterday after joining the official mumble:Jigsaw wrote:Nah, thats the point we're making; there isn't any channel on the main server. I hope this can change, really wouldn't be all that difficult![]()
there is no 10th-channel anymore?!? pretty bad, 4 sure - we will take care of that, thx again.
yeah, i know... that sucks a lot... but hey... life is a ***** if not loved properly.volk wrote:Man how many times do you see an appropriate commander in game?, people try to respect the rules sometimes but when seeing all assets stolen, i really dont feel like playing there. by the way: nice rims!
anyway... we had a pretty good commander yesterday and since pr-devs reviewed the
command-system we see more often dudes trying to organise the mess with their orders.
i don`t like this "first to come, first to go" either, but what are we supposed to do instead?
any suggestions for some rule-enhancemets - go on, leave us a note!
what would be the outcome if we would give out assets according to the squad-names?
let me guess: 4 apc-, 3 tank and 2 cas-squads but no more room for the inf?
dunno, but i think it wouldn`t work.

Re: 10th-Community (Europe)
I dont see a problem with the "first come first serve" rule.
I play a lot on this server and it is rarely a problem that somebody joins and "steal" "your" vehicle.
And another advantage of this system is the point you dont have to stand in a queue and waste manpower on the battlefield. If the round just started and you intent to take a jet/helicopter you can use the 20min Spawn Delay and help capturing flags/building fobs.
I have to admit the rule sounds kinda messy but it works surprisingly well.
And I also would like to see a used (!) 10th channel on the official PR Mumble Server, because this server/client system forces the players to use mumble the way it should be.
Atm its just a big chaos where some people use the 3D feature and others not, so you are able to listen to people you shouldnt and you arent able to hear people who really want to talk to you (but use the 3d in the wrong way).
In this matters i would like to see the 10th-community to be a bit more PR-global and not to do their own things.

100% agree. but on the other hand, the "own" mumble server got a lot of oher good things:BloodyDeed wrote: And I also would like to see a used (!) 10th channel on the official PR Mumble Server, because this server/client system forces the players to use mumble the way it should be.

u can kick annoying people, u can create ur own needed channels, u can ...
maybe thats the reason why they don't want to use pr mumble actually.

Re: 10th-Community (Europe)
Shame the lack of PR Mumble on 10th, the few times I've played on it I've found it to be a good polite teamwork server (what else to expect with German majority playing), but the lack of PR 0.5 Mumble makes me go somewhere else.
I can understand all the anti idiot reasons for using the non PR mumble, but with two channels there is less nonsense, and IMHO, now mumble is 'old' there is less idiotic behaviour anyway.

We tried it a couple of times to move the community (that includes all the non 10th regular players aswell) to the PR-Mumble and it just didnt work. Germans are just too stubborn i guess...

Just a bunch of dumbasses, now that their server has risen from the dead. Even the admins do not obey their own rules.
