Yes kashan is overplayed. I dont see what the attraction for that map is, too barren if you ask me. PR needs more city maps IMO

Kashan is probably my favorite map. The only thing it is missing is massed infantry... but that cant be done on 64 player servers. I can only imagine kashan with like 7 squads of infantry on each team.. because now it's like 2 infantry squads.

muttrah is overplayed and... boring

Except Kashan has very little for infantry and Karkand is virtually nothing but infantry urban combat...

I personally hate Kashan, it's a tank players wet dream, but as someone who prefers to play as infantry, the map doesn't do anything for me. The caps are open and easy to hit, a lack of leadership or inter-squad communication on pub servers results in people just getting annoyed because their squad has been blown up in an APC again and it's just generally not enjoyable.

I was told once that "This is reality, you can't pick or choose reality, deal with it", except I have a disconnect button, so I used it, point is, the maps shouldn't sacrifice gameplay for realism, sure, huge tank battles in the desert may be the "in" thing, but give us more city maps, maps where APC and Tank squads really start crapping themselves.

I dislike Kashan due to its repetitive nature (no random flags), stalemate issues, messy mountains, and terrain that largely favors a MEC armor team. Still the map is quite fun and enjoyable.

I do however, think that Kashan will be replaced with a specific map in the near future :D , it has had its time lets have some more epic 4km maps ^_^.

Kashan must stay.

All it need is some modification like :

- More places for the infantry to hide in the open field eg. more rocks etc.
- Bigger Villages for more urban warfare
- RANDOM FLAGS - I'm just tired of the way every round gets played.

It must stay since its a map thats just *perfect* for armour battle and CAS.

Muttrah is overplayed and also too predictable. You allways know where the enemy FOBs are build.

Predictability only stems from the fact people are reluctant to change their tactics, put more pressure on those FOBs and I'm pretty sure people will start shaking things up and getting a bit more creative. This is the one downfall of PR in terms of realism, soldiers don't usually start an operation by saying "well, we've done this 400 times already, so we're pretty sure what to do now..."

got to say this map ticks all the boxes for me, really big infantry fire fights, big tank battles, And cas which actually works on this map.

we need more open desert maps like jabal kashan and archer,

you are right that we need more open desert.
0.9 bring us many forest maps.siege,ironridge,dragon fly,yamalia,silent eagle.then we have fools road,kozelsk...etc.
archer and jabal is just nice desert maps but at kashan i just dont like that, map is so bright.
its very easy to see everything what moves in there.
then we have huge zooms in our assets and that is making kashan not that good map for me.

Kashan is my favourite map because it has all the best aspects of PR together in a map with high visability and easy access. Infantry is at it's most realistic on it with long range firefights, calling in support and correct use of cover being the main reasons. In my opinion it is not played enough by servers, a shame really.

Last time i played Kashan was 3 weeks ago, just fine. Kashan only sucks when there are no squads left and choppers get destroyed before reaching their location.

Agreed. I wonder if there is a way to make jets immune to the out of bounds so ground and chopper units don't abuse an extended limit.
